August Received Kit Swap

From the kit, I used the angel stamped on aluminum can, the 2 ribbons that have holes punched throughout, the green ribbon, and part of a sticker gift tag. Colored the angel with Prismacolor markers, after I had debossed the lines while laying the metal over a t-shirt and then I flipped to the back and rubbed with a stump to give 3D effect. Placed the sticker gift tag over one edge of metal and debossed same as angel; removed sticker and colored black with sharpie and removed with alcohol (which left it purple) and so I colored with green sharpie (which acted as an "eraser" to the purple residue) and wiped off with alcohol cotton ball; then just left alone and filled in lines with LaPen marker (which I ~think~ will rub off if given the chance). made a bow by wrapping around fingers and securing with thread and glued violin and bow together. Made the BG by placing the two hole-punched ribbons together on CS and the offset; pounced with distress ink. glued together all; inked edges.

OMG, Melissa! I thot I was crazy, but I bow to a master! I love your handling of the metal, but I am in awe of how you used the honeycomb ribbons to create the BG. I would never have recognized them or thot of doing this!

Your background is incredibly creative. You did a fantastic job on the angel too. I really like this!

Wow. I love that you used the sticker tag to create a metal embellishment. Your creativity on this piece is mind boggling. The angel looks amazing.

Your metal work looks wonderful! Wish I could read the details but with this fine print and no paragraphs it to hard for me to follow.
