Chalk Markers

I colored these Crazy Birds using some chalk markers I found at Target. They are interesting markers. They are opaque and look a little like acrylic paint when you first use them. They dry with a chalky finish. They do not blend well, but leave a distress look that goes well with these birds! I would use these markers with mixed media.

I'm not sure I've seen chalk markers before, how fun! I really like the colors and I think the crazy birds are a good use with them. I bed you'll do some fun things with them! TFS Smile

I do love a matte finish! I've never heard of a chalk marker before. Their inability to blend well makes them look like folk art. TFS. Daria

I agree with Daria-the matte finish not blending as well as the stamp image gives them a folk art style.

Awesome work with these chalk markers. Before I read your post I thought you painted them. You inspired me. I'm going to ink up my Crazy Birds today. Had them for 6 months and never inked them.
