Distress Oxide Ink on glossy paper for Jan's challenge

After much persuasion by Jan and April, I found a piece of Ranger glossy cardstock and continued making backgrounds for Jan's challenge.

I smooshed distress oxide inks on a craft mat and misted with water.
I swiped the watery ink on with a credit card ... it didn't seem like much was sticking and it kind of beaded up, but I did get some color on. Next I dipped in to the spots of ink left on the mat, heat drying between each color. Once the backgrounds were dry I applied Distress Glaze with a foam applicator and buffed with a cloth. I smooshed Archival Jet Black ink on my mat, spritzed with just a bit of water and inked the edge of a credit card. I stamped with the edge to get the black lines.
I do like the vibrant colors and shine achieved using glossy paper and the distress glaze, and it's great that they are sealed and no chalky color rubs off!

Left : Salty ocean, twisted citron and warm lipstick distress oxides
Right : Wilted violet, salty ocean, peeled paint and twisted citron distress oxides
Both : Ranger Archival Jet Black
Paper : Ranger Glossy cardstock
Other : Distress Glaze

I really like the contrast of the black lines and your dots against the swiped background. Thanks for playing!
