Art Journal page from Marjie Kemper's 5 Day Art Journal Challenge

We were asked to choose a favorite page ... hard to do, they become your babies! I do like this one though.

Challenge was to use a black page base and book print.

My book print came from "The Workbasket" circa 1950, a homemaking and needlework little booklet. You can see the crochet instructions (don't worry, I have 2 "Workbaskets" so I decided to save one intact and use pages from the other.). I think I picked this up in Leadville, CO.

Stencils : Wendy Vechhi - Home, Creative Expressions - rectangle illusion (AT C size)
Stamp : a portion of Paperbagstudios - "On the Porch", painted with distress inks
words at bottom : Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers, wood washi tape
Sizzlet Decorative Strip Die - ric rac from loops & ric rac

I used a die from Elizabeth Craft Design Planner Essentials 4 to cut the base page from Ellen Hutson black cardstock.
