INK19Cold

I have had this Purple Onion stamp for eons and was determined to make a happy scene for the carolers.
Since we were not required to make a card I thought I would give my current products an audition for cold and snowy. So first I tried my snow flake dry embossed frame w/distress ink...next time I will use the debossed look; the embossing did not work for adding stamping.
Then I tried stamping with gold acrylic paint since it is thicker than ink it usually stands out. Again the images where not clear. Finally I tried some dry mica flakes on the bottom of the card. Yes, they are clear and sparkly for a great look! Although it takes a while to dry....My Best effect-especially with the snowball hitting the Red Hat!

Thanks for the fun Cindi! Can't wait to use my findings for a real card. Jan

It’s a great image and I like all the different types of snow. It would be fun to do this with a big snowball fight too. Great experiments. It turned out well!

I love your image and the way you colored it. I agree about the debossed embossing; I often choose the debossed side for my cards. Your mica flakes worked great for snow. I'm going to have to remember that. TFS. Daria
