WF15 Impressions Sample

This is my sample for my Impressions Challenge. The photo reminded me of the era when people took trains and the women all wore high heels and dresses/skirts. :) Thus I created my sample piece using a ticket (Tim Holtz) and high heels (a stamp I carved) stamp. I stamped the ticket onto vellum and let the ink (Mementos) dry which created a bleeding effect and I inked the edges. The bridge in the photo reminded me of the ribbon punch (EKSuccess) I used and the green ribbon I threaded thru the lattice represents the green on the train.

For the dry embossed portion I used a Sizzix EF that has reflecting filagree---like the bridge reflecting itself through the water. I used core CS that has a different color for the core and I distressed the embossing so the core would show.

TFL!

I am so impressed that you carved that stamp yourself. It is amazing. And with the color you used on the ticket, it reminded me of a carbon copy of a credit card reciept. Fabulous card.

I had the same thought ... the ticket looks like a carbon copy. I love the shoe stamp you carved! Wow! Thanks for describing how the picture inspired this card. Inspirational Idea
