Something old, something new card

Inked up butterfly image with antique linen distress ink and stamped onto some scratch paper first, then stamped on to some watercolor paper. I brushed over the piece with a clean wet brush and then started to add my outline. I used broken china distress ink around the image and then added bits of color to the inside of the butterfly. I added broken China, evergreen bough, scattered straw and a tiny bit of faded jeans. I let it dry completely and then heavily spritzed it with a mini mister. I used a paper towel to help corral in some of the puddles. I let it dry on its own and came back and stamped the sentiment and added a few gold dots with fabric paint by Scribble.
Butterfly image is from inkadinkado

This one has a more mystical look than the other butterfly card; I like this one too. Thank you for playing. Daria

This one turned out wonderfully too. This buttlerfly almost looks abstract, in a good way. Thank you for sharing.

That is so cool. Thanks for the description of how you did it. What a great technique. And your results are beautiful.
