Alcohol Ink Class project

We pounced blue alcohol inks on the die cut circle (inside of the porthole) and adhered it behind the opening. The port hole layer was made with blue, greens and Pinata gold inks, and maybe a little black? or is that a dark blue? I can't remember. I think the octopus was pounced with raisin ink. The card bases we were given in class were folded unevenly and the fold was cracking. Ugh! So today I finally finished this card with the help of Undu. I made a card base from 12x12 black glossy cardstock as these cards are A6. The sparkly mesh ribbon is attached with brads and dots of glue.

This background was made on a gessoed surface.

I think the porthole stamp and die are Seth Apter?

Love how you achieved a great flow with the gold ink by guiding it "down the river" to have it hightlight the edge of the ink and complimenting the octopus' movement. Great work!

Very cool! Don't you just hate it when workshop card bases and pre-cut mats are not even? Drives me nuts. Love that sparkly mesh ribbon. TFS. Daria
