Starburst/Sunburst Technique

Another Sunburst card. This time, I followed Tracy MacDonald’s instructions and CASED her card:
http://tsgclearstamps.blogspot.com/2013/11/wednesday-trends-starburstsunburst.html.

I love Tracy’s card, but I did have a bit of trouble getting these longer pieces to line up correctly. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the photos in her step-by-step instructions. In any case, I like the way it turned out.

The cat stamp is wood-mounted, but unmarked. I think it’s one of the two that I bought for an on-line fund raiser for a place that rescues animals.

CARD:
4 ¼” x 5 ½”
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock (card base and focal image)
Judikins Black cardstock (mats)
Unknown patterned paper (from kits I bought long ago and never used)
Scotch Wrinkle-Free Glue Stick
ATG Gun

FOCAL IMAGE:
Stamp—unknown
Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink, Charcoal
Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies, Circles

I cut the patterned paper into four 1 ½” x 6” rectangles and cut those from one corner to the opposite corner to create eight triangles. I attached them to light-weight cardstock with the glue stick. I’ve never trusted glue stick, and this is the first time I’ve used it. This one worked very well, and it allowed me to move the pieces after laying them down if I worked quickly.

TFL.

I have to try this technique - Your card actually spoke to me. I love the black and the bright papers and the cat is just the perfect eye catcher.

The papers you used really pop. And the cat is really cute. Great card.
