Some challenges make sense, this one didn't make sense to me. I followed the directions to the letter, used paper towel to remove some of the black ink and even used a sanding block, but could not get any of the patterned paper to show. I would have much better luck with a plain piece of papers. But I stuck it out to the end. Had some good laughs at myself and the struggles to make the butterfly piece (which is the made fro the technique) into a card. Thankfully I found a piece of pp that worked with the piece, someone was looking out for me.

Ann, your card is very pretty. I can tell you had trouble with the technique, but you are right, in the photo at least, I can't tell that this is the Joseph's coat techinique or not. You did a great job of using it anyhow into the lovely butterfly die cut.

Hello! Laughing What can I say, Ann? If you butterfly insists on hanging out in a pile of charcoal, what can you do? You could rename the piece 'Luna Moth in a Lunar Eclipse'. Wink But...not being able to 'see' the PP isn't a deal-breaker. What is great is you did your durndest & shared it with us, pal. I really like the layout of this project & my favorite touch is the "we grow" on the lower left corner. Says it all! Wink

I am so sorry you had so much trouble. However, I love your butterfly and your card is so pretty! Thanks for hanging in there and doing my challenge!

Sorry you had trouble with this technique, however I think your butterfly turned out very pretty anyway.

it may not have turned out the way you wanted it too but I would say it turned out very pretty and your right that paper is perfect with it

I love the butterfly with that printed paper! Maybe if you (dare) try this technique again, it would show more pp if you stamped with a bolder image. Go Ann, for sticking it out!

The butterfly came out lovely, even if the pp doesn't show. And I like the pp you picked for the base. Way to stay with it. The end result may not be the best example of the technique but the card is absolutely lovely.

I have trouble with this technique too but I love your card, very elegant with the color combo!
