For Stamp Willy's embossing challenge-I used a double resist technique which Jennifer McGuire shared in week 6, project 3 of the Holiday Thinking Inking series. This is a fun technique for me and I made several Christmas cards with this technique that year.

This time I tried not to color all the background so I could create more a feel of floating leaves.

The thing to remember about this technique is to create the focal images first and then the background (reverse of how we usually do it.)

The mat is metal painted with acrylic paint and embossed with an EF.

Thanks for looking...Janj

I just watched another video on this technique! It's so beautiful. I love your version, and I think that the floating-in-space feel is as much due to your shading as it is to the technique itself. Beautiful work! TFS. Daria

I really love this. The swirl patterns makes it feel as if the leaves were moving. The gold embossed background makes the card look rich.

Oh my gosh, this is one of the most beautiful cards I've seen. The colours, the texture, the colouring. All awesome.
