Background colored with DI stain peacock feathers and festive berries and added salt while wet.

Mid layer-stamped dictionary page with gesso on harlequin background stamp (Stampers Anonymous). Dried with heat gun for a few moments. Removed ink on gesso with damp rag. Added a light layer of Golden Gold acrylic paint for gold highlights (looks great IRL-sorry difficult to see in real life).

Flower focal is stamped with archival inks and color with DI stains and mounted on cardstock. Sentiment uses a scrap of the background paper with Pearl Paint dots added. Surprise how much the color of the Festive Berries changed from when used full strength stain watercolor paper-to watercoloring with stain on cardstock.

Challenge requirements New-gesso stamping-old Hero Arts 2006 petal posies stamp set; 3 color media-DI stain, gesso, acrylic gold paint; Pearl Pen

I have that stamp! You made it sing. Maybe I should actually use mine instead of just store it. I love all the techniques you used to create the background elements, and the flower is beautiful. Thank you for playing. Daria
