Elizabeth Craft Design Peel-Off Stickers

CARD 2:
4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches
Bazzill dark green cardstock (card base)

BACKGROUND:
Judikins Matte-Kote cardstock
Kaleidacolor Vineyard ink pad, an old and dark version (background)
Papertrey Ink Canvas/Linen Texture Plate

FOCAL IMAGE:
Sookwang Double-Sided Adhesive
Elizabeth Craft Designs Grape Peel-offs, 2548
Elizabeth Craft Designs Greetings, 343
Glitter Ritz Microfine Glitter (Lilac, Deep Purple, Sweet Basil, Java Bean, Bronze)
Elizabeth Craft Design Microfine Glitter (Cool Diamond, used on the greeting on second card)
3M Mounting Tape (to mount the focal image)

For this card, I remembered to put down the adhesive first. However, I didn’t really get the look I was going for. I thought the glitter all over the brayered background was overpowering and detracted from the focal image. Plan B. I fussy cut the image and the sentiment. Then I tried to recreate the background using the Kaleidacolor Vineyard ink pad. However, the colors had darkened over time, and I could no longer make the same background. I tried just creating a new background with Distress Oxide inks, but the colors that I have were just too bright. I decided to use the more homogenized background I’d made with the Kaleidacolor inkpad. I debossed it with the Papertrey Ink Canvas/Linen Texture Plate, and that helped a lot.

Very lovely with the glittered grapes! The background has just the right amount of texture!
