Art Impressions Antique Auto

I found this image in my stash. Several years ago, I made a card with this image. I wanted the color to match the recipient’s car so I colored it many times with lots of different coloring media. I chose a brighter version colored with pencils for the first card because it had a lot of black in the background. This version is more muted, and I coupled it with a background I made many, many years ago using what was called the Cheesecloth Technique. Yes, I really put this cardstock behind some cheesecloth and applied dye inks through the cheesecloth.

CARD:
4 ½ x 6 ¼ inches
Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock
Via Smooth Ivory Cardstock by Mohawk Paper (focal piece and mat)
Unknown white cardstock (Cheesecloth Technique)
Cheesecloth Technique (mat)
Ranger Adirondack Inks (mat)
Distress Ink, Antique Linen (sponging on ivory cardstock)

Focal Image:
Art Impressions Antique Auto
Versafine Onyx Black Ink (probably)
Tombow Markers
Metallic Silver Marker

TFL.

Very cool! Love that background! You must take great notes when you make backgrounds. When I find old background pieces I often forget how I made them, unless I put it here in the gallery and added notes.

I love the aged look of your coloring the antique look car. The cheesecloth background is one I learned for a 2Peas challenge. After several backgrounds I still have made a large piece of cheese cloth in my supplies. Daria you have motivated me to make some ATCs for my technique notebook. Thxs!

That is a wonderful background. I would have thought you stamped it. The color of the car is so fun. Great job!
