Creative Challenge: Flourish

For the Flourish challenge I created an artsy birthday card for my young adult niece. In person it looks sparkling but sorry it is impossible to capture in a photo. I used Blue Hawaii Stazon ink to stamp the flourish onto acetate. I added clear crystal Nuvo Drops to the small stamped circles around the flourish.

I created a flower die cut with Tim Holtz flower die, colored with distress oxide inks and intertwined it into the flourish design on the right side of the card.

For the background I used printed silver sparkle paper that I randomly inked with blue oxide ink. I die cut a frame and attached the acetate and backed with the blue-silver background. I stamped the birthday wishes inside and a cupcake inside the card.

I love the way you've used this big flourish! You got a great impression on the acetate. Not easy to do! Wonderful idea to put the sparkle paper behind it.

Oh, what a neat process! I can see that it is sparkley, but I didn’t realize at first that this was stamped first on acetate. This is sortof clean and simple, but it has so many layers. Good work!
