Christmas in July Merry Kiss-mas shaker card

Hi Daria! This is for you!
You gave me this stamp as a RAK a few years ago. I don't think I'd ever made it in to a shaker card so here it is. The whole image is stamped directly on a watercolor card base. I stamped again on the same watercolor paper cut to the same size as the card front . I used an exacto type tool to cut the frame, leaving the snowman attached to the frame. The acetate is behind the snowman's head so the shaker material (I used Stampendous Shaved Ice) stays behind the snowman. I embossed the acetate with a snowflake embossing folder. The frame is mounted over one layer of Scotch foam tape.

Stamp : Impression Obsession Merry Kiss-mas
Ink : Versafine Onyx Black
EP : Clear, high gloss
Coloring : Tombow markers and a water color brush, White Wink of Stella on the larger snowflakes, Silver Wink of Stella on the mistletoe berries

Thanks for hostessing Christmas in July! I've been meaning to make this card for years!

On the inside I stamped and embossed a Hero Arts sentiment. The mistletoe and bow are Memory Box, stamped with Archival inks.

TFL!

Cindi, this is a wonderful card! The acetate looks like ice. I love the way you mounted the whole thing on the watercolored background that matches the mistletoe. You did that image proud! Thank you for playing. Daria

To explain ... the top layer is all one piece with just the interior cut out (upside down u shape). I used matching green Tombow marker around the outside of the stamped frame and blended it toward the edges with a wet brush. That piece has the acetate adhered to the back of the opening and covers the entire card front.

Very cute shaker card! The shaved ice is really neat and looks nicer than sequins. That stamp is very fun!
