Mixed Media Altered Tin Swap

This tin was altered into an artsy display piece.
The Cover-bird image is a leftover from when my match box challenge. The gold berries are dimensional pearls. The top of the torn tickets are stamped with a Red Lead set. I used one on each of the panels for continuity. The flowers at the bottom are embossed in metal with my CB and colored with sharpies. The outer edges are also metal. A decorative button was added to give a faux look of a opener. The bottom is covered with sparkling dark blue felt.

Inside Nest Panel- the background paper is filled with dried botanical pieces. I embellished the nest with additional dried pieces and added a tree seed on the right. The nest is dried embossed for added dimension. The eggs are added separately.

Song Panel-Tim H background tissue paper is crinkled and Inka Gold highlights the dimension. The robin image was a RAK from Christin from Australia…(miss her!) The bird sits on a diecut metal lattice fence embellished with some pine cones from my yard and accent with Inky Gold. Sorry this later part was in a shadow.

Oh wow that is just too cool, love how you colored the birds and your embossed metal layer with the sharpies is such a neat touch, like your faux opener idea too, lovely project!

Jan, this is incredible! I've been saving little tins like this forever thinking I could do something with them. Now I think I should just send them to you! Beautiful work. TFS. Daria

So pretty, inside and out. I think my favorite part, other than the bird theme, is the embossed metal. What a great little piece of art.
