January ATC Swap - Snowflakes

This ATC is made of Canson 140lb watercolor paper. The white snowflakes were stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink and embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Clear EP. I used the embossed resist technique to color the background with a sponge applicator and distress inks. I used a technique shared by Far North to make the largest snowflake. I inked the stamp with a black Speedball Elegant Writer calligraphy marker. The ink bleeds out in pretty gray/green/blues to sometimes even pink. Instead of using a water pen, I used a Wink of Stella brush pen to bleed some color out of the black, it creates kind of a halo around the snowflake. You can especially see it in the center. I bled out the black triangles in to the open triangles. I lightly misted the whole ATC with water to get some texture and little droplets and set the calligraphy ink.
