WF14 Gesso Resist Christmas

I used Faber Castell Gesso and sponged it on my wood mount stamp (Inkadinkado). I stamped it onto regular cardstock (Neenah). I dried it with a heat gun.

I then sponged Distress Pine Needles all over. I took a barely damp paper towel and wiped over the entire piece and let dry again.

The die and embossing folder are from Sizzix, I think it is a set called Snowflakes and Moguls?

Congratulations Heidi! It is awesome that you found your issue with this technique and now have a fabulous result. Love how wonderfully the detail of the stamp comes through! Beautiful final card.

This turned out wonderful, Heidi! I love the slight aging effect it gives your stamp. I love that pine needles color too, your card really shows off the gesso resist. Great job, thanks for taking my challenge Smile

This piece is beautiful. I love the black ribbon and snowflake. I never think to use black on Christmas cards but it is so lovely. I'm going to have to try it. And both the snowflake and the embossing are so pretty.

Outstanding card. The black die cut makes this a very dramatic card.

Your resist turned out wonderfully! Love the black accents. Who knew a black snow flake could look so cool?!
