16-Negativity at its Best & EFink

Efing – I used Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry and Cracked Pistachio. The inking was a bit splotchy, so I went back over it with my water brush and a bit more DI. This was my 4th attempt, and on this one, I die cut the heart before embossing.

Negativity – I used a Spellbinder die to cut out the heart. I then backed it with ribbon from the January Really Reasonable Ribbon Club pack. The shape of the heart was getting lost in it, so I added black stickles around the edges.

I die cut the label, inked it with DI in Picked Raspberry and Cracked Pistachio, stamped the sentiment by Studio G and added some ribbon from my stash to attach it to the card. The butterfly is a Penny Black stamp and I stamped it on black with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I painted it with Decoart fluid acrylic interference turquoise paint and fussy cut it. When I folded up the wings, I cracked the embossing, so I added black stickles to the body.

Sarah, you did a good job combining the different challenges. I love the way your background turned out, and I like the ribbon background for your negative die cut. The black Stickles border was a good idea. Thank you for playing. Daria

This is really striking with the little touches of black. The ribbon behind is wonderful. Your background is lovely. TFS
