LUINF14 lighten up background on single layer card

I followed Heidi's description with success and achieved a lighter background. Thanks Heidi for helping us think about generational stamping in a different way!
For my background I tapped off a light layer of ink since the color was already light. I used tattered rose Distress Ink for the background and Ranger red carnation archival ink by Wendy V.

Both the background stamp (Hero Arts) and the pine needles (stamp camp) have never been used on a card.
Thanks for looking!...Jan

I really like the background. I will have to try that color ink! It works really well for your pretty greeting and pine needles! I really like the added detail of the border around the background. It looks very finished off.

The background is perfect. The green leaves just pop. What a lovely Christmas card. Thank you for sharing.

I really am drawn to the simplicity of this card…it is really nice and I like the way the BG turned out against the branches.
