So I've been wanting to try a waterfall card for ages and I just never get around to doing it. I figured if I hosted it as a challenge, I'd finally give it a try.
Requirements: Create a waterfall card. Please use at least one stamped image.
Splitcoast Stamper Tutorial (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/waterfall_card/)
YouTube Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNKg_mFKSY0)
YouTube Video Masculine Card (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kimI9ooGDA)
Be sure to link your project to this thread, or I might miss it. If you remember, include AIR17 WFC as a label and in the title of your piece.
There will be a drawing for RAK. Your name will go in the hat for each project you enter.
Combining challenges: But of course.
Deadline: You have until midnight your local time on Sunday July 23 to post your project.
Examples: Under Construction

I have never made one! I am looking forward to it! Thanks for hosting!
-
Thank you! It's been too long since I've made one of these. I need a refresher.
-
Well, thank you Craft Nerd for hosting this fine challenge. Since it was at the top of the page and it is hotter then I care to be out in I sat down and made one of these fine waterfall cards......
First off I really just cannot for the life of me follow other people's directions. So I had to use two full 12 x 12 sheets of paper for the purple because I kept cutting things wrong. After I had the card part way constructed I realized then what I was supposed to do and what I was doing that was not going to work.....LOL. So I got it all straightened out and the card turned out ok. Here (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=3411#top_display_media) is the card.
Thank you for looking. And there is a picture attached to this post showing the waterfall part way out.

Great card Sadie. I'm sorry you had so many issues while making it, but you would never know from the finished card. It is adorable.
-
This will be fun, I haven't made one of those before :)
-
It has been forever since I made one of these. Can't wait to make another one.

Sarah, the link to your middle video is not working. (I should stop watching videos and make the card anyway, but FYI)
-
Thanks for letting me know, Cindi. It should work now.
-
Here is my entry. Thanks for the fun challenge!

That is such a fun birthday card, April! The recipient will really feel special.
Waterfall cards are so much fun to make and receive! I followed the instructions in the Masculine card video Sarah linked. So much easier to make with you tube!! The first time I tried to make one I was following written instructions. Rough!
Hooray! I'm ready for my daughter and SIL's anniversary in August! Thanks for the challenge. :D

April - what a great birthday card.
Cindi - way to go getting your daughter's anniversary card done early. I love that you used the same papers from her wedding invitations.

Here is my try at this, I love interactive cards so this is neat, I went by the video, I do better that way and I also used the way the guy did the sentiment on his card.

Here it is all the way open

I tried like 3 different times to see if I could post it half open and it wouldn't let me do it in the gallery so I am going to try and attach it here
-
Great card, Connie. I love those images on the pattern paper.
-
I used a combo of two of the tutorials. This was fun to make and easier than I thought. I would have never made one without this challenge, it does hurt my brain a bit to make fancy folds!

I will try to attach a photo here of the card pulled out to see the sentiment.
If I were to make more of these, I would want a stamp that says Pull. My handwriting is so bad. Does anyone know of such a stamp set for waterfall cards and things?
-
Do you have alphabet stamps, the guy on the masculine video said he used his Martha stewart alphabet set stamps to stamp the pull, I have that set so I might use that next time. I will be hand delivering this one so I figured I would just tell her to pull on the ribbon :)

I have one alpha, but they are pretty big letters. I could try it.

I se that Repeat Impressions has some stamps just for waterfall cards. I don't see a stamp that says Pull yet.

Lawn fawn has a set for interactive cards.

I knew I had recently seen a stamp set that included, Push, Pull, etc ...
It is Lawn Fawn, Push Here (https://www.ellenhutson.com/lawn-fawn-clear-stamps-push-here/)
I linked to Ellen Hutson where I saw it ... this one is not on sale but they are having a Christmas in July sale ... just sayin'
Your Waterfall card is so pretty! I love the multi-color stamped images.
-
Whoops! I didn't see that this thread had moved on to page 2! I found the same set as Heidi ... depending on shipping, might be cheaper at Ellen Hutson.
I have a few Repeat Impressions stamps that I picked up at a stamp show ... and I didn't even use them for this challenge! One is a little on the snarky side (old people birthday) ... why did I buy that?

Great minds think alike!
The Repeat Impressions stamps could easily be used in other ways, but they are cute sets.
-
Great card, Heidi, and I'm glad my challenge got you to try something you wouldn't otherwise have made.
That Lawn Fawn set is cool. And I like the Repeat Impression sets, but you would think they would include a pull stamp since they are meant for waterfall cards.
-
The Lawn Fawn set is the one I used to stamp pull here on the card I made. I used the matching die set to cut the heart and the arrow. Thank you Craft Nerd for hosting this challenge. I had never made one of these cards so It got me to do something different.....
-
You ladies made some fabulous waterfall cards. I did manage to get my sample finished last night but I had some issues editing my photos last night. Stupid new computer.
And now for the winner. Drum roll please.....
It is our hostess with the mostest, Sadie. I have your address and will get your RAK out to you at some point this week.
-
Yay! Congrats Sadie!
Looking forward to seeing your waterfall Sarah! Don't forget to post once you get your computer to behave :knuppel2:
-
Congrats Sadie!
Sarah, i am sorry about your computer problems! That is too bad! I hope you will still share your projects.
