Because I couldn't come up with a catchy name this time!
*****If you use they keyword INK16-Heidi in the keyword section (below the photo when uploading), all the entries should show up in this link:
http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/thumbnails.php?search=INK16-Heidi&submit=search&album=search&title=on&newer_than=&caption=on&older_than=&keywords=on&type=AND )
Get out your alcohol inks! I would like you to use the Polished Stone Technique to make at least one background.
I find the hardest part of doing this is getting out the materials, so once I have out the alcohol inks, I like to make plenty of backgrounds to use. I just love the way they look, but it is nicer to have a few laying around, so that is what I was thinking when I decided on this challenge.
***There will be a RAK for this challenge. You get one entry just for posting at least one background in the gallery. You will get another entry for submitting each finished project. (So, if you make 3 cards, you would get 4 entries, does that make sense?)
I know that there are many tutorials for this technique using different materials and even under different names. You may use any tutorial and it would be nice if you let us know which one if it is out of the ordinary.
Here are a few tutorials I like:
Splitcoast Stampers (uses reinkers, glossy cardstock and alcohol).
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/polished_stone/Enchanted Gallery (uses adirondack alcohol inks by ranger, lots of examples of color combos)
http://www.theenchantedgallery.com/alcohol.htmlEllen Hutson (uses copic marker refills and blender solution).
