I finally got my card posted. I made the 12 card bases and stamped the inside sentiment in two colors last night. Glad to be finished; with this set at least! I spent way more time than I planned. I'm glad I finally used some of my old steel rule dies (mountains and Townscape on Edge die). It's been a long, long time.
The inside sentiment says
"May the joys of the season
live on through the year -
Your nights filled with peace,
Each day filled with cheer!
There is a line of scroll-y pine bough underneath that is part of the stamp. I masked that off to stamp the sentiment in black, then went back and masked the writing and stamped the pine in green ... more steps, but thank God for stamp positioners and post it tape!
I found the sentiment at Adventures in Stamping. It's called "Joys of the Season" by The Artful Stamper.
Oh, and I just realized I DID follow the prompt with Glitter embossing powder on the mountains and snow banks. I wish it showed up better in the picture, I tried and tried!
I hope you get a chance to work on some Christmas cards this month. I don't recommend 12, if you're using lots of fussy die cuts!
