Art Impressions has a new series on their blog and Youtube called Watercolor Wednesday. They are showcasing their stamps and I feel they are giving such great tips on the "Art Impressions watercoloring" technique where you use a marker to color the stamp, stamp and blend out with water, AND with coloring in an image with watercolors.
Here is week 1:

Here is week 2:

I just felt like I learned so many great tips about coloring and wanted to share. I am sure that you can use these tips with other brand stamps too.
ETA: I think this link will take you to all the watercolor wednesday posts on their blog:

Thank you for posting this. I went and watched the first video and it was quite enlightening. A person could do that technique with any stamp. I hadn't thought of using markers like that without huffing on the stamp before stamping. Her markers must be really juicy or I live in a dry environment. I am going to try this and see if I can get the 5 stampings per inking. I don't think I can but I still want to try.

Sadie, I think the Marvy markers she uses are a little more juicy than others, but I have not had trouble with any of mine. I am pretty sure I could get 4 impressions from my Tombows, but maybe I should check before writing this out. I need some time to practice!

Thanks Heidi for sharing the link. It's been a long time since I saw the basics...hope I can use it with some of my stamps.

Thanks! I saw her do this at the stamp show in TN in October. This was a good refresher.

I am glad you are finding the videos worthwhile. Just a note that the second video is showing coloring in of a line image, so the watercolor techniques seem to be varying per week.

Thanks for posting these! I love finding new watercoloring videos to watch :-)

Today, one of the videos is on watercoloring a front door (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2tHJ8G3ink&feature=youtu.be) surrounded by a snowy scene....I learned several tips about coloring a snow scene! There are also other videos about coloring people. Thanks Heidi for sharing this thread!
