Christmas All Year 2015 - February
« on: February 06, 2015, 03:51:07 PM »
Hi All,

February is a free for all.  Make any Christmas cards you would like.  Maybe a love theme for February Christmas cards?

Please put your cards in the Christmas All Year 2015 album in the gallery.

I'm sorry I'm late and may need to catch up on leaving comments on a few cards from January.  I'm out of town for my brother-in-law's memorial service, staying with my sister.  Her husband's battle with esophogeal cancer is over and I'm sure he feels much better in heaven .  Still, 58 seems much too young.  Someone from her church wrote in a card that they are praying for peace that passes all understanding.  Yes, that sounds nice.

Cindi, my condolences to your sister and family. Esophageal cancer seems to be a fast and aggressive form of cancer. So sad, especially when he was so young.

I think a love theme Christmas card would be fun to do and it gives me a couple of ideas. I only made 3 cards last month, still need to upload 2 of them. Thanks for starting another month!

Cindi, Please accept my sincere condolences.  I am very sorry to hear this.

Thanks for starting the February thread.  I need to think about the prompt a bit!  I guess I am aiming for 5-6 cards a month this year to get plenty in time.

Thanks for the prompt. I need to make a few more cards this month too.

Cindi, I'm so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law.

I only made one Christmas card for January and counted myself fortunate to have done that.  I'm in such a slump.  February's Christmas Card Challenge will, without a doubt, get me back into the craft room.

Thanks for posting.

Thank you for all of the kind words.  I got home last night.  My sister is coming for probably most of the week to get away for a little before she heads back to work.  We live on opposite sides of the state (FL).  Hopefully we will have some stamp therapy!  Need to clean out the frig after being away for a week and do some laundry (DH states his unmentionables are near critical state!)  Haha!  Don't blame him for not doing his own laundry, I'd rather he stay out of the laundry room.

Happy stamping!
Cindi

Cindi I am sorry to hear about your brother-in-law.  You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I do not think I even completed one card last month so I am behind!  I like the love idea with the Christmas cards---that will be a challenge for me that I'll try!

Thank you Cindi for reminding me to get started!

I realized that I have a stamp in a Christmas set that says, "Love."  I am going to see if I can figure out how to use that in a Christmas card for this month's prompt.  I have several other ideas for cards, but just have not had time this month because I have been focusing on Valentine's.

Heidi, your cards are so lovely! I have the papers that you used on your pine cone card. I love the way you used them.

Here are my 3 cards. I should do more, but maybe I can next month. I used a new pad of Christmas paper I bought about a month ago.

Here is the card I used the prompt for this month. I was bound and determined to get this in this month!

I picked up the stamp for this card at Michael's for cheap.  I think I may have stamped and colored it before Christmas, or right after, and never made it into a card till yesterday. I need to make more cards like this one.  It will help me practice coloring.

Thank you so much for keeping this thread going Heidi and April!  Wonderful batch of cards!  Just got home from vacation.  I enjoyed seeing your Christmas cards.  I'll get moving and post a thread for March.
