Summer Challenge #2 - People stamps or children stamps.
« on: June 14, 2015, 07:50:25 PM »
I am late starting my Summer Challenge #2.   Summertime with children and/or adults.

This challenge will require you to use stamps of children, adults, faces- anything human.  My card is call "In the good ol' summertime and is an older stamp.

I have uploaded my stamped image that I am going to use and it is uncolored at this time.  I will color and re-upload to gallery.  But I wanted to give you an example of what the challenge is requiring.

This challenge will run from June 15 thru June 30.

Have fun.

Any questions please ask.

Here is my uploaded stamped card.  http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=1675&message_id=5a1fb0db690b8060b7f82c8ac96c35bb&message_icon=info#cpgMessageBlock

This is a good challenge for me. I do have a few people stamps, but I do not use them much. Partly because it is tough to color skin tones.  I am hoping to participate in your challenge. Thanks for hosting!

I don't use people stamps much either, so this will be good!

The biggest challenge on this, my own challenge, will be the skin coloring.  I usually avoid skin coloring at all costs.  So this will be a learning process for me too.

I have finished coloring almost all of my image.  I have the faces and arms, legs (skin) left to do, but I stamped extras so I can play on them before I do the real deal.  Keep me in your thoughts as I do this.

I have a couple of people stamps and I too find skin coloring hard to do!

I'm adding this to my to do list this weekend!

I made two cards. I did find skin tones are easier for me with pencils. Next up Im going to try distress inks. I've found some good tutorials on them.

Here's one finished card I made-

I've made another but my file size is too big so I need to figure out how to adjust it.

Thanks for hosting a fun challenge, Ann!

I just put my card into the cards category because I couldn't tell what other category it fit in... After posting and coming here to link it I realized it said summer time people and since my girl is wearing a sweater I don't know if it even fits what you were having us go for but I did send this to my great niece who is turning 6 tomorrow, so it is for a summer birthday   .

Both of these last two cards quality.  The zombie is very popular right now so I will include it.  And I wear a sweater in the summer as I am very sensitive to cold.  So this is a girl after my own heart.

Left comments for both of your cards.

Wow, I thought I lost my mind when I couldn't find this post.  But I found it and deleted it from another challenge.
I babysit my grandsons, I was on the iPad and found this lady doing kids crafts.  She took oil pastels and scribbled them in a circle pattern and then took a paper towel and rubbed only in one direction the oil pastels off the paper.
I tried it and didn't work, but my oil pastels were from when my kids were little, OLD
Anyway my grandson brought some new oil pastels he had gotten, we tried it and it worked.
I thought I should make a card out of it.  But by rubbing I had made a resist, so ink didn't want to stay.  Finally got stazon ink to work but had to dry it with a heat gun.  Stamped little kids  and put it in the gallery!
If I make this again, I think I should stamp it first!
