Hi Everyone! I am hosting BINGO again for the Inktober Fest. I hope you will join in the fun. I always enjoy the smack talk and fun sentences you make with the words. I think you will have fun with these words.
Here are the particulars on how to play.
There are 25 words and phrases below. You need to pick 10 of them and message me with your list of 10 by Friday, Oct. 3rd by 10pm eastern time. On Saturday, Oct. 4th around 6pm, I will post 3 of the words here on this post. If you have any of them on your list of 10, cross them off your list. I will post 3 each day around 6pm and the first person who has all their words crossed off will need to post BINGO here on this post. If more than one person posts BINGO the same day, I will look at the time to see who posted first and they will be the winner. I will be giving an RAK to the winner. Also there may be some twists later in the game where someone can win a prize also. Can't wait to start! ;D

:laughhard: This may well be the strangest word list you have ever done since you began hosting BINGO. I LOVE it!!!
I'll PM my 10 ASAP!
-
Nobody but Inktoberfest hosts can see this forum, you might need to post the list in the planning forum with an FYI that the actual bingo post is in the Inktoberfest forum. Cause the only takers you will have will be the hosts right now.......
-
I haven't peaked at any of the other challenges, but I had a feeling that I would need to here. I will pm you my words as soon as I can choose. I do agree they are odd, but then again, they are oddly familiar. So what does that tell you about me?....
TY for hosting!

LOL, Sadie! Since I plan to win Bingo I welcome your input to April. Makes my win all the sweeter when I have lots of non-winners playing along!
-
I'm going to have to think about which are the winning words before I send you my list.
Heidi - I think we're all a little odd here. That's why we like each other so much.
-
:smitten:

I second that! Haha!
Expect a message from me April! Don't want to miss Bingo!
-
I sent my words
-
I have gotten everyone's words so far. We have 6 playing right now. Yes, these are odd words, but I know you will have fun putting them into sentences! ;D Some were wondering what Tula is. It is a name of a city in several parts of the world. Can't wait to start!

I thought you might had mispelled tutu. lol TFS
-
I'm ready to win!
-
LOL, and here I thought Tula was a person's name... My Big Fat Greek Wedding! :laughhard:
-
I'm ready to win!
That's a shame because I'm so going to win this time. ;D
-
Okay, I don't think I have ever played bingo with April so I do not know how this game is run. Is this where she will post today's words? Or am I at the wrong place. She mentioned 6pm EST...is that meant to throw us off and she will post at a very different time? Any other tidbits a person should know?
Thanks!...Jan

Yes, she will post them here. And while she does usually post around 6 pm EST, if she is out or something it will be later, and once she even did it an hour early. I have been waiting for them too.
-
Any other tidbits a person should know?
Thanks!...Jan
Smack talking is encouraged. O0 Like this. I don't know why you guys are waiting for the words, I'm so going to win this year.
-
Okay, I don't think I have ever played bingo with April
Really Jan? You've been missing out!
AAAAAAPPPPRRRIIILLLLLL where arrrre youuuuuu?
Hopefully she is out on a hot date!
Normally April will post 3 words a night. If we have any of them, we make up a sentence using the words we have on our list that match. And smack talk. You'll catch on quickly!
-
You guys know that Stampwilly already has 3 of my words picked out so you might as well all go home now.......LOL
-
Okay! Is it late enough????? :-\ I really threw you off this time.! So sorry. I just have to get in the swing of things. Totally forgot!!! What a way to start! :-\
Anyway! Here are the 3 words you have been wanting to see.
5. oh my stars
11. flora
20. stardust
Here is a bonus word since I was sooooooo late!!!!!
23. ornate
Sorry everyone, I hope I will do better tomorrow.
Stampwilly
-
That's ok April, we'll let you off the hook this time
I'm so happy I'm sprinkling fairy stardust in ornate patterns all over the fauna ('cuz darn I wish I had flora)!
-
I wonder if you could use stardust like embossing powder or if it is more like glitter?
-
Star dust is much better than embossing powder because dust is always better than powder. Oh my stars I have 2 words for BINGO not the 3 I was counting on.
I am going to age myself here but all I can hear in my head is a really old song from the 45 records my grandfather got out of an old bar.....Bingo, Bingo where you gonna goeo, Bingo, Bingo whatcha gonna doeo; does your mama know you're going down the road to see your little girleo?
-
Oh my stars! I didn’t know that 4” of fresh white stuff on all my trees and ground this morning was stardust…now I know all my dreams will come true! April you are the best…I might manage another 3 helpings tomorrow if you send it on a shovel.
-
The stardust came falling down from, what was that? Oh, my stars, of course.
I've got fifty percent of yesterday's words, which is a failing grade...
-
"Oh My Stars. Nathan (or-Nate) left me a voicemail. He said Stardust is easy to pick up with a Swiffer.
3 out of 4 words. Not a bad start for my winning card. ::) 'Course it's still anyone's game---yeah, right! :laughhard:
-
I t looks like we are off to a good start in spite of my SLOW start! LOL! I feel like I am a month behind or something. Anyway, it is still anybody's game. I will be sharing the twist to this game soon. There will also be an RAK for that! ;D
Stampwilly
-
Oh my stars, stardust is falling all over my flora!
Hah.. Daniel and I are tied.... Might as well quit now, that's all you get!
-
Okay! I am doing better tonight! ;D Here are 3 more words!
1. flutter
15. peony blossoms
21. bloom
Good luck!
Stampwilly
-
No you are not doing much better, no words on my list tonight........
-
I'm all a flutter over Stampendous' peony blossoms stamp.
2 more for me. O0
-
Oh no, I've got nothin!
-
Oh, my stars! I'm all a flutter when I see the way the magical stardust shimmers on the beautiful peony blossoms in my garden. It's a sight to behold.
Didn't I win last time? I seem to remember a certain someone who won two, or was it three, times in a row. I'm going for twice in a row. What do think my chances are?
Daria
4 Words (. . . but who's counting?)
-
I'm all a flutter cuz I'm such a cruddy writer, LOL. I think I will go sit in the peony blossoms and think about it!
-
Quick Henry! Get the Flit! I felt a moth flutter by! Oops, my error. The flutter was from all the disappointed sighs of those with nothin'.
I'm @ 4 words, too. #>
-
Daniel, you had me scratching my head wondering who the heck Nathan was ... but when I finally got it I really did LOL! :laughhard: I should send you a big bouquet of Peony Blossoms !
-
Daniel, you had me scratching my head wondering who the heck Nathan was ... but when I finally got it I really did LOL! :laughhard: I should send you a big bouquet of Peony Blossoms !
Glad you 'got it', Cindi! Too bad I didn't have Peony Blossoms on my (winning) card. I'd have done a number on the word 'peony'--think about it.... ::)
Several of us are neck-to-neck with our word count. Others are nowhere near our 'neck-of-the-words'. Sucks to be them!
But I can see a few 'dark horses' in this race to BINGO Glory.
What has me wondering and trembling in antici....
'pation is Willy's up-coming 'twist/curve'.
Y'all may think our pal April is a perfectly sweet person, but I know that she has a delightful streak of tormenting players in her creative soul! So glad for that!!! ;D
-
Hey Daniel, I would give you a bonus point for working in a Dr. Seuss reference into your sentence. O0 Although, I suppose that technically it is a Theodor Geisel reference, since it was from before he became Dr. Seuss.
And I'm right on your and Daria's tail with 3 words. I'm coming for you.
-
I love that you knew 'Ted' was the author of "Get the Flit"! :smitten: BUT you're still going to be an 'runner-up' for BINGO, pal!
-
I am posting the words early today. I get to go to my local Stamping Divas club tonight and will get in late! ;D
Here we go --
4. Tula
9. pop dots
16.sprinkles
Stampwilly
-
Have fun, Willy! So much for 'early'! No words for moi today!
'Sok! I'll drown my sorrow in Chinese food & chocolate!
But FAIR WARNING to those who gain words today... You may have brief victoriies, but the battle is not yet over! :knuppel2: ;D
-
"Oh my stars, Flora!! Sarah's puppy, Myrna, has pop dots all over her! She must have found my stash!"
3 so far….
-
Well since I don't know what a tula is, I guess if I had pop dots in it I wouldn't know! LOL
I am at 7... shhhh....
-
Wow, I am blessed with another 4 inches of stardust! The good news is my plow guy is coming today and he will take care of things for the next 4 days until he leaves on vacation. Then I expect a break in the weather with loads of wonderful sunshine ;)
Just sayin'...Jan
-
I guess my words are just coming in sprinkles. I am up to 3.
Jan, I am glad you have a plow guy...
-
Myrna does love to use pop dots when she's crafting, but she tends to get a bit messy. ;D
Daniel - I took a class on the US homefront when I was getting my Masters in History. We read a book called Dr. Seuss Goes to War about his political cartoons. Seuss used the Flit add in one of his cartoons - he put Hitler's face on a bugs body. It was the best required reading ever.
Jan - you have definitely received more than your share of stardust for October. Thank goodness for a plow guy.
-
Well, at first I thought I had zilch tonight, but then I double-checked, and I'm now I'm happy--almost as happy when I'm seeing sprinkles of glitter sparkling on my Christmas cards.
SW Lady, didn't you know that we have to draw this game out to the end of the week? At the rate you're going, the game could end tomorrow! Now cut that out!
Daria
5 words.
-
Yikes Jan! Lots of snow, and I forgot about the darkening days too! I wonder how your locale compares with Tula?!
Sarah, I'm impressed! I had no idea what the Flit Daniel was talking about!
4 good words and even better words waiting!
-
LOL, Kathy! Please don't force me to stop & build a voo-doo figure.
Sarah. Guisel was a very interesting character, for sure. I haven't read that book, but PBS ran a documentary on him some years ago. He seemed to have an abrasive personality, but was wildly creative with both words & images.
Jan. Enjoy your 'stardust'. We call it 'white manure' around here--& we don't say 'manure'. ;)
I have my words pinned on the wall in front of me. Gonna focus on sending Willy vibes to pick 3 of mine today!
-
here are today's words -- Oct. 7
7. worn out
14. flourish
19. cloud cover
Stampwilly
-
Nuts, I got nothing. :( Didn't you get the memo, Willy, about me winning this time.
-
I'm so completely worn out; the heat does that to me. I'm doing a rain dance, but I'll settle for some nice cool cloud cover.
Let's see . . . if I get all three of tomorrow's words . . .
Daria
7 Words
-
Oh my stars, I am worn out & my brain is full of sprinkles & stardust, I forgot to keep up with bingo. Its either the chemo brain or I've pop dotted myself to my paper peony blooms and other blooms. Tula tula I think that gives me 8!!!!!
-
Snickerdoodleart, you go girl!
The cloud cover must have shaded the good words on the list tonight. Slow and steady wins the race, I'm half way there!
-
This morning there was some cloud cover, but then it cleared up. However, I am too worn out from my first visit to the UnderArmour store, that I want to go straight to bed.
I've got 5.
8!!!!???..................................................................
-
Wow! 7 and 8 words already! I best get to my twist tomorrow then. Stay tuned!
Stampwilly
-
I can't show much flourish since I only have one word for today….
I have 4 for now…..wha ha ha haaaaa……heehehe
-
Here are the words for today -- Oct. 8. We went out to eat and hubby wanted to go to Cabela's so just got home!
6. snowflake lace
13. heartwood
25. flower power
OKAY! Here is the twist. These strange words actually are associated with a specific stamping/craft product. The first person to tell me the specific product will win a small prize! ;D
Good luck!
Stampwilly
-
I still only have 8.... darn... no need for the voo doo doll Daniel, LOL
As for the twist... are they Memory Box stencil names?
-
My heart wood go out to my fellow Bingo players but I plan on crushing them into snowflake lace with my Bingo winning flower power.
Woo Hoo! I'm up to 7.
-
I've got flower power growing next to my heart wood. Okay, that doesn't work at all!
But I have 7.
-
Outside I see Snowflakes
Lace up your shoes
We need to bring in the little Flower
Power up the heater!!
I have 6 so far
-
We do not have a BINGO, BUT way to go SWLady! These are Memory Box stencil names! ;D You have won a prize! ;D
Please message me with your address so I can send you your prize soon.
We might have a BINGO tomorrow. Who knows?
Stampwilly
-
The hippie couple, dressed in their flower power tees, carved their initials in to the heartwood.
Seven, seven, seven, seven, let's sing the power of 7! How many is seven? (Why Sesame Street popped in to my brain? Who knows?!) :idiot2:
-
Oh Cindy could you possibly mean these delights???
Dopey: Dopey is the youngest, sweetest and silliest of all the seven dwarfs. He is beardless and can be distinguished from other dwarfs by his green tunic, purple hat, and big ears. He is a loose limbed dwarf who never speaks a word but is a genius at fun and games.
Grumpy: Grumpy is the most ill-tempered and ill-humored of all dwarfs. He has a long white beard and wears a red tunic and brown hat. Though he is tough, craggy and resistant to anything, he is also extremely devoted to Snow White.
Doc: Doc is the only dwarf who wears glasses. He has long white hair and beard, and like Grumpy, he also wears a red tunic and brown hat. Considered as the leader, whenever there is a decision to make, Doc is the one to make it.
Happy: Happy is the most rotund of the dwarfs, and has a short beard and long white hair. The most cheerful of all, he is always found smiling and wearing a brown top and orange colored headpiece.
Bashful: Bashful is the most shy of all dwarfs, and is often seen in his classic pose of shyness, i.e. hands clasped behind back, shoulders slightly raised and eyes upturned. He has a short beard and wears a brownish two-tone tunic and a yellow cap.
Sneezy: Often seen stifling a sneeze by keeping a finger underneath his nose, Sneezy is the dwarf with short beard and a red nose. He wears a brown jacket and orange headpiece.
Sleepy: As the name says, Sleepy is the most sleepy of all the dwarfs, having a forever sleepy look and heavily lidded expression on his face. Often confused between Bashful and Sneezy, Sleepy has a long beard and wears a green top and blue hat.
-
Congrats on winning the twist, Kathy!
My heart wood work on flower power, but It's been worn outside my jacket & got flour-ish when I baked a batch of cupcakes. :idiot2: I now have 8 words. #>
-
Hi Everyone! I wonder if we will have a BINGO tonight! Here are 3 more words. ;D
10. butterfly vine
18. disperse
24. dressmaker
Stampwilly
-
Uh-oh. Nothing yesterday and one today. I'm up to 8 words, but I see so many people who had 7, 8, and I think 9 words yesterday! You're raining on my parade. I need to disperse the competition in order to come out victorious!
Congrats, Kathy on identifying the words as being the names of MB dies.
Daria
-
Oh wow, nothing more for me either.
-
Oh no, sometimes finishing the final last part is the hardest.
-
I spotted a butterfly on a vine in my parent's yard today.
That brings me up to 8.
-
I wonder if you can play dressmaker with butterfly vine the same way you can play with hollyhocks?
I'm up to 9!
Woah Jan! You know your dwarves!!
Congrats Kathy! You know your dies, haha!
-
Love my stamping up dressmaker die. And that my friends is a BINGO,,,,,,,,,
-
YEAH! We have a winner! ;D
Snickerdoodle (Susan) has won BINGO! Way to go! Congrats! ;D
Susan, please message me with your address so that I can send you your prize.
Thanks everyone, for playing. :D
Stampwilly
-
Sneaky Snickerdoodleart. You just snuck in and won it. Congrats.
-
Wow! Congratulations Snickerdoodleart! O0
Well now that backfired didn't it?! Next time maybe I should keep Bingo a secret so you don't beat me to the win by one word!! ;D
Once again, it's been a lot of fun April! Thanks for hostessing!
-
Congratulations, Susan!
Beginner's luck. Just wait until next time.
Daria
-
Love my stamping up dressmaker die. And that my friends is a BINGO,,,,,,,,,
Congratulations!
I have to say I was surprised last night that we didn't have a winner yet. We usually do by Thursday night I think.
This was definitely not my year!
-
LOL, Susan! I'm gonna start calling you 'SneakerDoodle'. ;D Congrats, pal.
I made it to 9 words with 'dressmaker'.
Thanks for another fun BINGO, April!
-
Congrats Snickerdoodle!!
Boy it wasn't my year either--I think came in at 7 with "dressmaker" last night.
TY April for hosting Bingo! It's always fun! O0
-
:Thank you thank you thank you. Winning this is like the cherry on my cupcake this weekend. :smitten:
Sorry iring, maybe we can play with my prize together.
-
Lol, Sneakerdoodle, indeed!
-
:Thank you thank you thank you. Winning this is like the cherry on my cupcake this weekend. :smitten:
Sorry iring, maybe we can play with my prize together.
LOL, Susan! Hey Cindi? Be sure to count the cherries when you & Snicker play! ;D
BTW, Snicker? We're expecting to see some stuff from you! Glad you're back around, pal! O0
-
Congrats Snickerdoodle! I was stuck at 8 ;-)
-
Hi Bingosneakers! You certainly ran faster than I could last evening! Wish I would have had a chance to met you before I fell flat! I certainly apologize if we have met and I have forgotten. Just wanted you to know I posted about myself in Getting to know you thread-chatty game (http://duhnproductions.com/forum/index.php?topic=385.0). Would love for you to share some comments (real or humorous are just fine too) in hopes that will help me remember next time. Hope to see you around even more! Congrats!
...Jan
-
No problem Far North. I was on 2 peas and am still getting used to the new "playground". I hope I can figure out how to post my projects here for Inktoberfest. If I don't get them done before the deadline you will certainly see some soon. My laptop crashed so I only have my Nook which makes posting a little more difficult.
As far as beating me in the race I have to tell you I almost missed it. I was soaking in the tub when I remembered to check the list & was yelling at my DH to bring me the paper with my words on it so I could make sure I had a bingo. As I"m typing my post my Nook decides to shut down & do a reboot, ahhhh :tickedoff: I just knew I was going to miss it. The whole time my DH is like what are you doing? He just doesn't get it. :-\
-
Hi Bingosneakers!
;D I like that! It's a good name for her!
That's a good story snickerdoodleart. That's all you asked for? Your BINGO list? Next time I'd go for a glass of wine too. Did you scream BINGO from the tub?! :laughhard: There have been times when more than one person is close and we are waiting to pounce and yell "BINGO" as soon as April gets the words posted. And sometimes she's mean and keeps us waiting! ;)
-
Mean, Cindi? :-\ I DO declare!!! LOL! Usually it is that I just forgot!
Well, Susan, you just snuck out of nowhere and won! Good for you! It was a fun game and thank you all for playing.
Stampwilly
-
Mean, Cindi? :-\ I DO declare!!! LOL! Usually it is that I just forgot!
Humph, Willy! I'd rather have you being 'mean' than forgetting about us. ;D
LOL, I am enjoying our continued 'smack' chat! O0
-
I got the coolest RAK from April last week and forgot to post it. Cutie embellishments that I already know where to use!
Thanks April!
