My challenge is called Windows to the World. We see a lot out of our windows. My cats love too sit in my windows and look out at the bird feeder! We see beautiful sunsets, trees, houses, people, cars, etc. and recently ice and snow!
For this challenge please make some kind of window on your project. The window can be a die cut, a stamp, a shaker window or any window you can think of. Please use a stamped image on your project, not just a saying. Also use patterned paper and at least one embellishment. I will give an RAK to a randomly chosen winner! You can make a card, tag, box, etc. Please upload your project to the gallery and link it here to this post so that everyone can see it. Most of all have fun!

Very cool, Willy! I have a good idea for my entry already--including the (pesky) :knuppel2: embellishment requirement. :smitten:

Sorry about the pesky embellishment, Daniel. But ONE isn't so bad!

Fun challenge.

Looking forward to working on this! :D
-
Good challenge! I do not have a window die, but I think using a regular die would work to get a window look. Thanks for hosting!
-
Fun challenge! I already have an idea !

LOL, Willy! Yeah I guess... ;D I finished my window card & will share it soon as possible. I really like the way it turned out--even the embellishment(s) work. Thanks for a fun challenge, April!

Here's my window card. I cut the window with my silhouette.

Sarah, your card is such a cute spring scene! I love the curtains!
I have a couple of ideas for this challenge. I looked through my Cricut cartridges last night and was surprised that none of them had a window die cut on them. I have a couple ideas, just need to decide which stamps I want to use.
-
I also love the curtains on Sarahs card!
Here is my entry:

I originally designed this so my image would be in the inside of the folded card and you would be able to see the bird when you opened the card. However, when I tried that, the bird didn't look right from the outside because the card would not lay perfectly flat. I wonder if there is a trick for that! Would a side folding card lay more flat than a top folding card? Also, I used thick cardstock, so maybe a thinner cardstock would work better for that.
This is a fun challenge! Thank you.

Thanks for the praise everybody.
Heidi - do you use a bone folder when you fold your card bases? A sharper crease may help with lining it up.

Yes I do use a bone folder. I bet it is too thick of cardstock. I is the 120 lb from Michaels.

Heidi, your card is beautiful. Thanks for doing my challenge! Love the bird. You know birds are my favorite!

This is my project for the day. Had one idea and then went to another. Hope to get it done and upload today or tomorrow.

Here's my card:
Hello Kitty window (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=1116&message_id=dd9a541e5b6b88a461011b5a0c955e64&message_icon=info#cpgMessageBlock)
Since I didn't have an actual window die or stamp, I made the window by nesting two dies together before running through cuttlebug. I will have to remember that bc I think it's pretty neat.
The heart sparkles way more in person, unfortunately can't capture it on film.
Thank you April for a fun challenge!

Here is my take on this, I have a tree outside our window that is usually filled with birds since we have a bird feeder near by, I just had to add a little scene of a table in front of the window with flowers and a frame with a sentiment. I realized after posting that I forgot to add my gems that I was going to put in the center of the flowers for my embellishment :knuppel2:

Here I have posted (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=1207#top_display_media) my Windows to the World card in the gallery which I entered into the Second Chance challenge.
Congratulations Connie on the win of the original challenge. And thanks April for the challenge!

I made another window to the world card for the second change hangover challenge. The image is the main focus, the pattern paper is on the background which really only shows around the very edge. I cut the window with a spellbinders die. There are more then one embellishment on this card.
