I would like you to make a Wrap Around Card. I thought it was a neat look, and it could be a different size canvas to work with, which is fun! I first saw this on Karen Dunbrook’s blog post here:
https://snippets-karen.blogspot.com/2019/10/wrap-around-christmas.html
Basically, this is a panel of your card that goes equally on the front and back. Please do NOT use patterned paper for the wrap around, please use stamps and stencils, etc.
There is no firm measurement for this wrap, but don’t make it too small. It can be larger than the ones in the examples, or you could use a circle shape, etc. ***Please make sure your wrap is centered at the card fold so that an equal part is on both the front and the back of the card.
You probably do not want to use a very heavy cardstock for your wrap, so that your card fold and opens easily.
Here is my example. My wrap was four inches across, so 2 inches on the front and back.

Looks like fun & not to difficult to work out--with lots of ways to pull it off. Good Challenge, Heidi. I have some ideas to try. Thanks for hosting O0

I love this look, and I don't think I've ever tried it. Thanks for the challenge!
One question :
Do you prefer that the wrap is made with a separate layer of cardstock/paper rather than stamping directly on the card base?
Thanks!

Yes, I do prefer that it is a separate piece that is added to your card base. Also, because of that, your card base does not have to be plain, like mine is. Your card base could be textured, or patterned paper. It is just the wrap part that cannot be. It has to be stamped.

I have never seen this before, great idea

Connie, I am sorry that you had trouble with this card, but boy, it is gorgeous! Thanks so much for doing my challenge!

I finished my hubby's anniversary card so I tried doing another challenge, let's just say the garbage can was in big use, guess it isn't my week getting back to creating, being away for that long wasn't good for me :(

Since we have are stencils out, I made a stencil wrap. I used paste and that made it stiff, but going to my grandsons and that is ok. After paste was dry, I used some home made sprays on them with micia in them and made it hard to get a good photo.
Added a steampunk image of an elephant for fun.

Sheila what a unique card, it is beautiful! Thank you for playing along!

Here is my entry. I also used one of my stencil backgrounds that I made for Jan's challenge on this card.

Nora, your card turned out wonderfully! I love the little gold string over the wrap. Thanks for playing in my challenge!

Daria sent me a cute snowman stamp with a matching background stamp after Winter Holidays in July. I used the background stamp to make my wrap and the snowman as a focal image on the front.
I heat embossed the wrap. It did flake just a little at the fold, so I'm not sure I would do that again.
My wrap is 4.25" high and 5" wide, the card is A2 side fold.

Thanks for the challenge Heidi. I thought about this all week! I had two more ideas but couldn't quite figure them out, so here we are. Another Christmas card, yay!
