I am not sure what this actually means to the Tim Holtz line of products but I always wondered how the other signature designers felt about Tim being The Creative Director at Ranger, what it meant to the other designers that Tim was sort of over them in importance when in reality he was just one of them.....apparently it wasn't working out in some way since it is over now.

I saw that on his blog the other day.  There certainly is a lot to speculate about, but my immediate feeling was pretty much what Sadie wrote -- they needed someone to promote every designer equally. I think Ranger and Tim Holtz are going to continue to do fine.  It is just business and they both make really good quality products that people love.

yes, I saw this too. He said on his blog that none of his products would be affected. Seems like business as usual except for his position.

He said his line would not be effected, but I wonder what it will do to his income?

I agree that both Ranger and Tim will do fine with the new arrangement.

I hope this results in seeing more of the other designers and their products.  I was surprised to hear of some recent product changes particularly when several of Wendy's archival ink colors were withdrawn from the product line. And Dyan's established line of Dylusions sprays now competes with Tim's distress stains now repackaged as a full line of sprays.
