I had a challenge picked out a while back for this month. I would have sworn I bookmarked it and now I can't remember what it was :idiot2:
So last night I was looking on Pinterest and found this one and thought it looked really interesting and one I don't think we have done before here
Heres a couple of videos on it

I plan on working on this tomorrow. It looks like fun, I hope you'll play along!

This looks really fun, LeighAnn! Thanks so much for hosting the challenge.
I cannot see the first video, but I got the idea from the second one.
-
I don't think I have seen that technique before, cool one to try :)

Here is my card http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=3317#top_display_media
I did find that the hardest part to this card was picking the right stamps and colours.
Thank you for a fun challenge. I think I'll be using this technique more often.

Beth, your card is awesome. I agree, I am still trying to decide what stamps will work for it. Maybe today!
-
Beth, your card is great! I have made several backgrounds and now I need to decide which one to use! This was a fun technique!

I made quite a few backgrounds and made 2 cards with them. On the flower card I used solid flower stamps and on the Christmas card I used a snowflake stamp. I combined the Christmas card with the Christmas All Year challenge.

Great cards, April! I love that you were able to successfully use the solid stamp!

Beth and April, love love love your cards!
I have had my image and inks out for this but we've had a death in the family and I haven't had time to work on it. I'm gonna try it out soon! I also wondered how perarlescent inks would look. I'm kind of afraid to mix two so I thought I would do one and then Marybeth mix it with a chalk ink or dye ink.

LeighAnn this was a fun challenge, I used the same stamp set for my smackdown as I did my main flowers, using the biggest flower in the set, I love how the base flower gave it a pebble look when stamped like that. I posted a side view of it in the gallery http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=3334#top_display_media to show off the background a little more but I will try and attach a more straight on picture here.

I don't have a completed project, but I wanted to at least try this technique before the end of the month. I am thinking darker colors might work better but here is a background.

Lovely card, Connie!
Heidi, I like the airy feel of your stamped piece! I think darker colors could work well too with those images.
I made a card but haven't had a chance to get it uploaded. I still have a few hours left!
Thanks for taking my challenge, everyone!
