Title: February 2018 Use It or Loose It Challenge
Post by: Craft Nerd on February 04, 2018, 09:00:34 AM
February's challenge is sequins.

I've got a bunch of sequins. In fact, it is one of the few embellishments I've been buying lately.  But I still have more than I probably need.

So get to using those sequins.

I'm trying to refrain from buying more, but I do have a decent collection of sequins.  Thanks for the prompt to use them!

I like sequins so much more than buttons since they don't cause mailing issues.  And it always easy to share a package with another stamper or creative person.  Thanks for the challenge!

What adhesive do you guys use for sequins. I have had some issues with them coming off. I think I usually use Ranger Matte Medium.

I usually use glossy accents or tombow mono liquid glue.  But I've had issues with them falling off too.  And often I'll add a dot of stickles on top.

Hi Sarah. I made a card for one of the WF challenges that has seguins on it. May I show it here too?

Thanks, April

Here is one more card. I am showing this background to my stamp club also, so I made a card with it. Details are with the picture.

Nice cards April.  I really like the extra bright sequins on the crazy fold card.  It makes it feel like a party.

When I went to mail a Valentine I made last year, a sequin fell off.  I put it back on with a mini glue dot, just because I needed to mail it quick.
Good idea Sarah, to top your sequins with stickles!

I might have to try mat medium.  I've been using Scotch Quick Dry.

I use glue similar to Tacky glue. They seem to stay on pretty well.

I’m a day late, but February was short!  #>

I don’t have lots of sequins, but some images do look really good with them added, things that are supposed to be showy, like my peacock.

For that reason, I think I will keep what I have, but am pretty unlikely to buy more!
