October 2017 Monthly Challenge
« on: October 25, 2017, 11:55:05 AM »
This month's challenge should be pretty easy and bridge the gap between Inktoberfest and a November challenge.

CASE this card.   I had it pinned to my Fall Pinterest board.  I bet it would make a pretty Christmas card, get well, or any occasion card, so don't feel you need to stick with fall.

I CASE'd it to make a card for Heidi's What a Releaf challenge.  Heidi liked it so she CASE'd it too.

I will attach a better picture here because my photo in the gallery was taken at night.  It looks like a vanilla or ivory card base when really it is white!  I took a new photo, outside, today.

I cased the card with an eye to winter. It has some 'issues', but I like most of how it turned out.
Thanks for the challenge, Cindi.
It's in the gallery, but I'll also attach a view here.

I really like your arrangement of Christmas stamps, Daniel.  Those seem to be really "in" colors for the coming Christmas/winter season.

I tried some different combos yesterday and wasn’t really happy with anything I came up with yet!  Hope to try again tomorrow.  Let’s hope the rain cancels DS’s game!

I originally was going to try a more cheery image and card, but my SIL’s grandma died suddenly and I needed to make a card for her.  I used my peg stamps and distress inks.  I tried Distress oxides first, but I actually thought the colors were too bright for a sympathy card, so I redid it.

I liked working with a set of leaf stamps rather than a mismatch of them (such as on my first card).  Although my stamps are small, the card seems to have a more uniform look.

That turned out really nicely Heidi!  I like the small leaves and your colors.

I tried to do a Christmas version ... stamped a variety of trees, moved around, tried again, but just didn't like it.   I might get to it again eventually.  I do like this layout and technique.

Thanks for playing!
