Here is the supply list for our zoom meeting on the 26th. I am looking forward to it!
1. white card stock base cut at 10 x 5.5 -- scored at 4.25, 5 and 5.75
2. various colors of dye inks, some light, some dark
3. 3 colored card stock strips to match ink colors -- cut at .75 x 3.75
4. stamp 3 different words or short saying that go together on white card stock (ex. happy
birthday, celebrate, enjoy) -- cut these 3 sayings in 3 different strips .5 x 3 (see example
below) Please do not glue the word strips to the colored strips
5. Silhouette stamp for front of card.
6. Dark ink to stamp silhouette stamp.
7. Any embellishments to complete card.
8. Several stencils -- some that have more open spaces and a few that have small spaces, like
dots, stripes, diamonds, etc.
9. sponges or sponge applicators or blending brushes
10.Tape to hold down stencils

Thank you, April! Looking forward to it!
-
sounds like I need to get busy getting supplies around, and I forgot to figure out the zoom, I wrote a note to myself to do that tomorrow, everyone who wants to join in needs to send me their email so I can send you the link :)
-
Looks and sounds like fun! Connie, I'll message you.
-
Connie...Is it possible for you to send 1 Artsy Inker message to all players to save you time? Just thinking...Jan
-
Jan I did a little reading last night on the zoom meeting I am not sure if you need to know approximate number of people you plan to have or not.
Are you saying to send the link to every member in this group?
-
Yes, the private message board will only send to AI members...so you can select all members planning to play and send the the code to each person. Looking forward to playing!...Jan

I totally didn’t know you could do that!

Thank you Heidi and Connie for nudging me to stay up past my bedtime (I get up at 4:30 for work). I'd like to join in the fun and am cutting my paper and getting my supplies together tonight.
I have not done zoom before, so I gather it is easy with the details that were sent to me. Hubby downloaded zoom for me so I should be good to go.

I’m glad, Beth! Looking forward to seeing you. Zoom is pretty easy to use.

Oh that is great news Beth, the free session only said it will give us 40 minutes so hopefully we can get it done in that amount of time and we won't keep you up too late :)

Connie, they have been extending that 40 minutes for free, I haven’t heard that they stopped that.
-
I hope so ;)
-
I could see about having a second code ready in case the first one expires?
-
So glad that you can join in Beth!
April

Sorry it definitely appears that the AI message board no longer will send multiple messages at the same time to a desired group of AI members. That was a great tool to use...one that I use lots over the years. Times change!
-
Jan, thankfully Cindi had a good list of emails for me that she sent out last time that I used.
-
I set up a backup zoom meeting just in case we need to extend it. I can share the code in the chat of our meeting once Connie starts it. I have the info saved in an easy spot on my ipad so I can share it quickly.
-
Thank you for teaching us April, and Thanks to Connie for hosting! Glad they lifted the 40 minute time limit again!
-
It was fun and great to see everyone again, nice Beth was able to join this time too

Yes, it was a fun evening! I finished a card and I have backgrounds for two more. I'll post tomorrow.
The stamp and die sentiment sets I was referring to are by Photo Play (https://everythingmixedmedia.com/collections/just-in?page=2). There are stamp and die combos ... and another die set that will cut the sentiment strips, one by one for $9.99. Earlier I just couldn't remember who made them!
-
April, does this card fold have a name?
When it came time to attach the sentiment flags ... I was stumped for a few minutes, and had a hard time searching for instructions online. I finally used temporary adhesive and experimented till I think I got it. I must have been stenciling when you explained that part. I had to use Undo to flip the middle sentiment too. Whoops! It's a fun card. Thanks for showing it.

Funny that Connie and I chose the same stamp set! I liked her idea of stamping more butterflies on the inside, so I did that too.
It was a fun night!
-
That was funny Cindi of all the stamps we have we picked the same set, Love the background you did with yours, just perfect!
-
Thanks Connie! Maybe I had better luck with my butterfly because my Archival ink pad is almost brand new ? ... even though it does have annoying strings hanging off the pad.

I forgot to write here. I finished my card last night and posted it, by that time I was too tired to remember this part. I deceived to use the glow in the dark emb powder. So I got a ghost stamp out for the inside. But it as an outline stamp, so not to be defeated I used a Versamark pen to fill in the ghost, so I could use the powder.
I ended up using three layers to get it to glow. I think it was the color in the paper that was the problem, maybe if my first coat had been white that would have been a better base, I will let you know when I use it again.
I thought the flags were boring so I put words on both sides of the colored strip. I liked it better.

I also wondered if this fold had a name!
It was great to see everyone, especially our new Zoomer, Beth!
-
Heidi, I went to the site where I saw this fold and she did not have a name for this fold. I think I must have come up with the measurements too because I did not see any on her blog. I made this card about a month before the zoom meeting.

There is another card similar to this one. A friend sent me a Christmas card in that style. It had more flags and the spine was glued together
So maybe this card was that ladies spin on it.
-
Shelia... I made a flag card in a class I took in Anchorage, AK over 7 years ago. The difference was I had to pay for the class LOL. I prefer shared techniques because I feel I can use more of my own creativity and substitute supplies as needed. I love it when stamping pals share new twists on a technique!

I wish we could find a better way of posting our supply list for Zoom sessions. And a separate area for related conversation. Perhaps something like how we organized the quarterly challenges. I have spent lengthy searches to find the supply list among lots of other info. I am sorry I am not participating as much as I would like to but I still don't have time to make cards if I spent lots of time searching. Also note Zoom details should be on a thread that is private for our members.
-
That would be nice if it could be private to just members that are active on here and then I could share the zoom link in one place.
-
You could put the links as a new thread under General Private chat. That is not viewable if you aren’t logged in.
-
Ok I will try that
-
I have sent out the emails for the zoom meeting last night, I hope you all got them.

I did! Thanks!
-
I can’t get in the meeting.

So, I was on time.
