Great goals, Beth! Thank you for sharing.  That will be fun when you play along with the Christmas all year challenge.

Here is CraftNerd's Crafty Goals post from last year in case you participated and want to see how you did.

Um, I didn't really accomplish any so I need to just add them to this year's!

Me neither.

This year's goals:

1. Finish Christmas cards by November

2. Finish the scrapbook from my 2012 California trip, so I can start a scrapbook of my 2016 Oregon trip.

3. post on my blog at least once a month (I'm being less ambitious than last year)

4. finish the mixed media canvas project I started in 2015 for my office

5. finish the mixed media canvas projects I have planned for the house.

I've decided that to help with actually achieving my goals for 2017, I'm going to put up a clipboard in my craft space and write out a monthly list of things to accomplish.  I figure I would be more likely to actually do the stuff on my list if I actually have a physical list because I enjoy crossing stuff off of a list so much.  So the reward of crossing stuff off the list, motivates me to do the stuff on the list.  Which is kinda sad, but it works for me.

2016 accomplishments - I managed to make cards for Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter, Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  And I did a variety a 3D cards.

Awesome, Sarah!  I do think that looking at the last year goal's you did not do will help you create goals this year that are more reasonable.

O0 There is something about checking off a list that really is satisfying!
I read on a blog recently that someone bought themselves smiley face stickers to put on their calendar each time they keep up a habit they are working on.  Hey!  Whatever works!

Sarah, you really did send out a lot of cards through out the year.  I'd like to catch more of those in between holidays too!  I have the stamps for it!

A while ago I participated on a board that had a birthday swap.  Players would all commit to sending the other players a birthday card during their birthday month.  At that time I used my computer alerts to notify me when I should work on the card generally allowing a week before mailing and my guesstimate mailing date.  I kept a notebook of what date I mailed each card and it was always fun to see what month had the most birthdays.

I always think of shabby chic needing colors and embellishments that are pretty unique to the style.

My goal is to set-up a crafting space in a new home....not sure if I will get beyond that this year.

No big deal, there are lots of more months to work on your goals, just don't forget the goals altogether, right?
