I finally got my card uploaded! I tried last night but it kept rejecting the file for some reason.

This was a fun technique! I love seeing all of the results. I'm going to be checking out the paper towel patterns now! I still want to try it with a napkin that I have that has roses imprinted on it.

I tried a few different inks. I don't have any large ink pads but I found that the brilliance one worked the best.

Thanks, April! This was a fun challenge :)

Since I am not going to have any more time, I decided to post my paper towel stamped background. I have an ink pad with all these colors and laid the paper towel down to try and match it up. Didn't do very well, but I did get good texture. I did use my brayer and the paper towel soaked up a lot of ink. I know this doesn't count for the challenge, but just wanted to show the texture I got with this technique.

It feels waxy, did anyone else get this feel on their background?

Now I don't know what to do with the background... any ideas? Maybe a fun birthday card?

I do think it is a great background and you got GREAT texture!  What brand paper towels do you have?

I agree a birthday card would be a fun one for this.

I wonder if the brand of paper towel along with brand of ink contributed to the waxy texture. I did not get anything like that.

Here is my paper towel challenge entry:

flower card

The hardest part of this challenge for me april, was figuring out the embellishments!  lol!  I think that alone took me 2 days to figure out.  I'm not very good at adding embellishments…that is a real challenge for me.  I never know what will look good or distract/add to the piece so I guess in the end, I avoid them.   :-\  But I like the embellishments I ended up using here and I want to learn how to not avoid them.    Thank you April for this challenge!

I don't think my BG felt waxy from my printing.

I think a birthday card or maybe a bright "thinking of you" type of card too.  Looks kinda like a crayon rub also!

Yeah!!   Thank you!   and thank you April for hosting a fun, creative challenge!  I really did enjoy it.  I still have my paper towels and may try to do something with them now---especially after seeing Sarah's tags using paper towel.

Congrats, Melissa.

And thanks April for a cool challenge.

I've already used my paper towels on a second masterboard.
