Welcome to my party challenge! It's a bit of a nod to one I did @ 2Ps several years ago...
For entries to my challenge, you have to combine 2 (or more) holidays to create 1 project. The more stamps you use; the better I'll like it, but you are not required to employ purely 'holiday' stamps.
However...'Holidays' will not include weddings, birthdays, births, etc.. I'm talking real holidays--Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc. And none of those 'special' holidays like 'National Ice Cream Cone Day'! :knuppel2:
Feel free to ask your 'Qs' here & also link your entries to this thread.
When you upload your wonders please include the keyword HDINF14. ;)
Here's (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=544) an old example of a Halloween/Christmas Combo.
I did a random pull from all those who took the challenge & the name that stuck to my sticky fingers is...
Sadie!

Love your sample, Daniel! Should be a fun challenge!

This sounds fun! I saw your example in the gallery last week and it is really neat. Thanks for hosting!
-
This is such a fun challenge. I don't think I did it the last time around; I hope I don't flake out this time. I'm already thinking of the stamps I might be able to use.
Thanks for the challenge.

Sounds like I need to do a run through and audition some stamps for this challenge......LOL Thank you for hosting this challenge Looser.
-
Your challenges always make me think.
Can we combo?

Your challenges always make me think.
Can we combo?
LOL, Sarah! My challenges make me think, too. And every INF challenge is a thinker, too!
Yep! Y'all can 'combo' if the hoster allows.
-
Hmmm. Lots of possibilities with this one. Sounds like fun!
I like your sample you did! I think I recall seeing this from 2ps too! Very fun. Thanks for hosting :)
-
Well I finally got another challenge done. I used an image that covers just about all the major holidays and a witch and some trees. This was fun, thank you Looser for another challenging challenge.

LOL, Sadie! I like your entry! Thanks for playing!
-
I have a good idea for this one, just need the time to carry it out.
-
I know what I'm going to do, but I probably won't work on it until this weekend.
-
I am having a "challenge" with this challenge …hehehe I find out that I own quite a few Christmas stamps as I already knew but as far as other holidays… I did find a few pumpkins (and happy thanksgiving sentiment) and I thick I have some hearts that could work for Valentine…so I am wondering what I'll come up with! lol!
-
My piece is about 90% done. I'm waiting for the stickles to dry so I can add the final touches.
-
Mine is probably halfway done. I am trying to finish on time.
-
Here is my card:
celebrate the season card (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=649&message_id=dee5c4f5f2dacd9efc4bd11a159b8f15&message_icon=info#cpgMessageBlock)
I have to say Daniel, that I told everyone yesterday I wasn't sure what I was going to do and I found different stamps and added them together and I have to say: I had a blast making this card! lol!! So it is going to go up in front of my work area to remind me to have fun etc with my crafting time!
Thank you for this challenge!
-
Melissa, your card deserves a prize for having so many holidays! Well done!
My entry combines this challenge and the KIAE.
Here is the link. (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=653&message_id=c7914ad1ebf2e35ba07dc8fd1a04887e&message_icon=info#cpgMessageBlock)
I originally was going to use the red stamped script as the background, but it would have overpowered the piece, and that is why I punched it up and added it that way.
-
I got my tag done. I combined Easter and Christmas.
Hoppy Christmas (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=658&message_id=404dbac654d1037f7d7247bbb62a1b33&message_icon=info#cpgMessageBlock)
Thanks for a great challenge. It definitely made me put my thinking cap one, as usual.
-
Phew!

Yikes! I posted the above link to my Holi-Daze project at 11:58pm according to my laptop. Pant, pant!
I had a lot of fun making it Daniel, but boy do I have a mess of stamps, inks, markers and gelly roll pens to clean up! I think I completed all of the challenges which was a first for me, I'm pretty sure. I had lots of fun this week. Thanks for hosting this challenge!
-
I'm back! I just finished counting. I used 13 stamps and 8 ink pads on this challenge!
-
I am so pleased with all the HoliDaze Dazzles! It's easy to see how much thot & effort everyone put into their pieces! Thanks to all who took the challenge! :smitten:
-
Daniel, on your example with the tree and jack-o-lantern, did you stamp the sentiment or did you print off from the computer?
-
I composed the sentiment on my computer & printed it out on plain paper (way back when I could still use my printer). I cut out the shape & used several separate stamps from Inque Boutique to create the frame--not sure what set it was it's been so long ago. Don't even know where those stamps are now! ;D
-
I thought maybe you printed it…… I was really interested in that b/c my sentiment statement stamps are only a handful and I often think about using a printer for sentiments. Not sure why I shy away b/c I can see how I could treat the printout just like a stamped sentiment and run it through the Cuttlebug/Spellbinder after I print it. I liked seeing it done for your card…it fits in just like it was a stamp! I think I'll give it a try!
-
I hearya, Melissa! I really miss being able to print out text. As you say, you can have lots of fun with fonts & more and...
Depending on what your printer can handle, you can print on various materials & weights. For instance. If you apply fabric to a backing, some printers can handle it like paper. And depending on the printer's inks, you can print on acetates.
Here's another option for those with few sentiment stamps. Work with rub-ons. You can get sheets of alphabets & even sayings & such.
-
Those are great ideas Daniel. Thank you! I'll make note of them and try them.
I never thought of rub-ons, but that makes sense…and it seems easier than stamping out a sentiment with alphabet stamps.
