AIR17 Stencilled ATCs July15-July23, 2017 *** Winner announced ***

I came up with two finished ATC's but I really had a lot of flops along the way.

First off, I used a technique Dina Kowal shared on her blog this week. You guys can let me know if it is new or not.  Usually, I think "new" techniques are just a slightly different version of an old technique (which is perfectly good to share), but this one seemed more original.

Well, I did the technique on Bristol instead of watercolor paper and I had one complete flop and the other worked OK.  Then I sprayed the residual ink on the stamps and printed it off onto regular cardstock.  Those turned out well, but then I made them into ATC's that I thought were completely ugly.  Oh well.

So I was left with one background and came up with these ATCs.

Thanks for the challenge!  It was a challenge for me but I enjoyed trying new things.

Oh I do belive that is a technique I haven't seen yet, I was going to suggest the technique that you ink your stencil and then spritz and added it to your paper but this is cool too!!

I pinned this technique a few days ago and I will have to try it! I have found that a lot of times you have to keep trying a technique because some things are not really explained as to what paper they used, inks, amount of water, etc. I will definitely try this though.

I was surprised when I watched the video ... I thought she was going to spray the stencil, instead she sprayed the paper.  She got gorgeous results.  I loved all of the variations.  Thanks for linking the video Heidi!  You got the same gorgeous results on your ATCs!

I'm bummed, I got my ATCs finished but I had some issues last night with editing my photos.  Stupid new computer. So I didn't manage to post them.

My RAK is on it's way and my ATC trades are signed, sealed and ready to deliver.  Just need to drop them in the box tomorrow.  This is a record for me!  I'm notoriously tardy    Feels so good,
