Very nice card, Sadie.  The pop of white framing your focal image really sets it off nicely.

Very interesting points, Jan!

Great card, Sadie!

I finished 2 cards for the challenge. Here is one of them-

I love this. I have not heard of grounding before, but I understand it. Can't wait to play.

Sadie's card was certainly an inspiration for my background I created fro this card.  I intentional created a little extra so I could use it for the sentiment..intentionally creating a grounding base for my bird. Hope you like  it!

PS...I also added a little Tim Holtz tissue tape (practicing for Cindi's Christmas Challenge) but it is not tacky as I would like and requires extra glue.  It also tears too easily.

My card link to the gallery.

I'm not sure how much inspiration my card might have been but yours is wonderful.  The grounding of the bird is wonderful.

You know I don't have much luck with washi or tissue tape sticking well either.  I usually use some sort of glue to make it stay where I put it.  Kind of defeats the purpose of it being called tape if it doesn't really tape itself to stuff.  But I like it anyway.  Yours looks great on your card.
You know it's been a good day when I haven't released the flying monkeys.......

Sadie and Jan, you all make me want to make some fun inky backgrounds!

I uploaded my card and didn't realize you couldn include it to be in different albums. I've only had one cup of coffee today, so maybe that's why my brains not working, lol!

Here's an image that I've had for a looooong time, I have no excuse to why it has taken me so long to color it. It came from Marshia(eagertoretire)! Has anyone heard from her? I miss seeing her posts and cards!

Really great entries, Jan and LeighAnn.  Thank you so much for your additions to the gallery and your comments here!

Jan, I also have issues with some of the washi tapes.  It is frustrating.  The ones that do stick for me are not true washi, but are the office supply tapes from Target.

I also miss Marshia. I think the last time she checked in she said she was just doing photography for a while.  Hopefully she might want to come back and join in here too.

Just a note to say this challenge is still open, and is combinable with Inktoberfest challenges IF that challenge host allows it.

I added a grounded unicyclist to my daughter's birthday card..

The stamp already had a line placing the unicycle on the ground, but I like the look my punched oval added.  I think it helped give more weight and attention to the image.  Thanks for the challenge Heidi.  I need to read back through and check out the other additions to this challenge.

Heidi, I know I already did one card for this challenge but I made a card today that I thought of this challenge when I wondered how to finish the bottom of the plant.  So I thought it might be helpful to add another sample to the gallery.
Can't wait to see what topic you think of for next month.

Absolutely, Jan!  Great project.  Everyone should feel free to add any in which they used grounding to this thread.
