Ann's February Challenge Feb 8th thru February 29th
« on: February 07, 2016, 08:12:23 AM »
i am offering this challenge because I  have a quite a few stencils that I have brought and I have used so few.  So this will be a learning challenge for me.  And for you a simple teaching challenge

Challenge will run from Monday the 8th until February 29th (Happy Leap Year)

Please make a card or any other project using stencil (s).
In your description explain how you did your stencils (what mediums)

The kicker to this challenge is to make the card a CAS (clean and simple)

I am hoping to upload my project by Wednesday the 10th.

Have fun.  Remember I love the Clean and Simple

Oh yes, you may use a any size stencil, but the stenciling must be be major point of your card.

Please ask questions, even though I might not know the answer.

I have actually been working with stencils quite a bit lately, mostly because I got an awesome new one.  I will definitely post some projects to this thread as I finish them. I actually have several made in the last week and then a few half finished projects on my desk.

I usually use background type stencils and I would be interested in how others use those stencils that are just a butterfly, or just a single flower, or so on.

Ann, did you happen to mean border punches instead of border stamps?

As I read this again this morning, saw what I had typed and went Oh no!..  Yes, I did mean to type border PUNCHES.  I have been under a lot of stress and  causing me to make some mistakes.     Thanks so much for catching that.

Here is my entry. I made a Christmas card to combine with the Feb. Christmas card challenge.

Stampwilly, your card is so beautiful.

I am ready to upload my first one.  Details to follow.

Someone, somewhere asked about making small inages from the stenciled piece.  I think this card shows that I did it.  Please check details.

Well I hope this is clean and simple enough and I didn't really use the stencil in any fancy way but here is my take :

I just sponged the ink through the stencil

LOL I'm definitely working on doing your challenge Ann.

Far as C&S? I'll take a shower for the clean. The simple I can do with my addled brain.

Fun challenge

Thanks to you all.

Had fun doing another entry.

This one took me back to my stenciling days when I first ran into masking as a technique.

It's an easy way to create a 3D look & combines well with stamping.

Here is a simple card using a technique called stencil bumping.  I think this could be used with a wide variety of stencils.  Thank you for looking.
