Hello and welcome to my "Frame It" challenge. This is an easy one, but it is a very fun way to use your stamps. I want you to create a frame for an image or sentiment with your stamps! How big or small is up to you -- you can even use a stamp that is a frame, or use masking to make a frame out of a larger stamp. But just be sure to use at least two stamps in your overall project.
Here are a couple examples:
Christmas Tree (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2680#top_display_media) - I used peg stamps to create a frame around my larger Christmas tree.
June's Rose frame (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2672#top_display_media) - I used two solid flower stamps to create a pretty frame to go around a sentiment.
Cherry Blossom Thank You (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastupby&cat=0&pid=2550&uid=521#top_display_mediahttp://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastupby&cat=0&pid=2550&uid=521#top_display_media) - Another one with peg stamps, it around a sentiment.
Watercolor Crayon Floral (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastupby&cat=0&pid=2543&uid=521#top_display_media) - Another floral frame, this one was fun to make.
Please use at least two stamps in your project. One may be a sentiment.
Please upload your finished project in the Artsy Inkers gallery under the AIR16 folder.
It is helpful if you add a link to your project on this thread so people will be able to find it easier to add praise.
You may combine with other challenges. Let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you will be able to participate and have fun!

Cool challenge. I really like the idea of using a bigger stamp and masking to make a frame.
What do you want us to use for a label?

I think AIR16FI will work for the label.

Heidi, this is a fun challenge. My first thought is the triple-play technique where I always think about abandoning the technique and using the separate pieces as frames. They always look so cool.
FYI: Your last two links don't go to your sample cards.
Thanks for the challenge.

Using the triple play cuts but doing the stamping differently is a great idea!
Once again, the link fairies are doing their own thing with the links. I am sorry they aren't working. They work fine for me -- all of them. I even used the link tool to set them up instead of just copying and pasting the URL, which I thought helped before...
The first two links are recent, my Christmas all year June card with the green tree, and the June's Rose black, white and pink card. They may both be in the first page of recent photos in the gallery.
-
Heidi, they are both working for me now too. This morning, the last two links both took me to one of Nora's cards--the same one both times!

Here is my entry. I had fun using 2 very old stamps! The bird I have had forever. It was in a stamp set but I have never used it. The Magenta frames stamp is very old too and I have not used it in years! Thanks for the fun challenge!

I really liked your challenge Heidi thanks for hosting it!!

Vroni, I love your entry! (And the link worked fine for me.) Thanks so much for playing along with my challenge!

I'm working on this challenge! Tonight I stamped frame after frame, trying to get straight sides :( Even with a stamp positioner ... I'd stamp 3 good sides and then drop the stamp, or get a bad impression! Ugh!
I finally got it though ... tomorrow I'll try to finish it in to a card!

My second entry (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?pid=2731&message_id=e226a276095acbdc55b632aa125d05f7&message_icon=info#cpgMessageBlock)
Looking at all the cards in this challenge I really started to love frames so here is my second entry :-)

Another great entry! TFS!
Cindi, sorry you are having trouble with your frame! I do that kind of thing all the time!

I have a finished card (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2735#top_display_media)!
I made a frame around the bee image by stamping a single stick flower 4 times. It was a challenge to create a straight frame and get the spacing right but I'm glad I stuck with it!
Thanks for the challenge Heidi!
I attached a photo of the Honey Bee Label stamp, before framing.
-
I love your idea for the frame, Cindi! Very pretty, it was worth the effort to get it straight! I do remember that bee stamp. You sent me some impressions way back when we did the card in an envelope swaps! Thank you so much for playing!
-
I worked through several fits and attempts with this card which I describe in my post. Finally I achieved a result I am happy to share happy to share in the gallery. (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2743#top_display_media)
Heidi I am also headed to your rose challenge to add a link.
Thanks for looking!...Jan

Jan, great combo! So glad that you were able to switch up the ink and paper to get a lovely result!
Thanks so much for playing.

I made this card (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=89&pid=2748#top_display_media) as a stand alone for this challenge. And this one (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=89&pid=2747#top_display_media) is a combination card with the Sky challenge.
-
Heidi, thank you so much for your fun challenge. I enjoyed playing!

Sadie and Nora, I love both your entries. Again, I am so pleased to see all these different ways to use stamps to make a frame. They are all so neat!
Thanks so much for playing along with the Frame It! Challenge!

I made a couple of cards combining this challenge with the Nighty Night challenge.
Reindeer (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=89&pid=2771#top_display_media)
Snowman (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=89&pid=2773#top_display_media)

Sarah, great projects! You really got a ton done this week! Thanks for doing my challenge!
-
Slowly I am getting through the challenges :) I don't know if I cheated or not on this one because I cut the shape with my die and while the die was still in the paper I went around and stamped the frame and then inserted my stamped image. A stamp store about 45 minutes away from me has started selling the peg stamps single or in groups, I found a larger peg stamp after making this card, so I am sure I will be trying that out soon :)
Here is my card for the challenge
http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2827#top_display_media
-
Oh good! Yes, I did use the die cut as my guide for the frame on some of my cards. No reason to make it harder than it needs to be if you are going to use a die anyhow! I am so pleased you took the time to do my challenge!

After posting I did go back and read what you had wrote just incase that wasn't allowed and saw that you had done the same thing, so I knew I was alright, guess I should have read that first, I am just going off the cheat sheet I have in my craft room :)
