Ok Daniel, I tried.
I used my three old grandson fingertips to make a flower border.  It is the gallery.

I am so happy with all the pieces! Each one has been such fun to see & praise!

Daniel, do we need to add additional stamping to our project, or is our fingerprints enough image stamping?

Sorry for the 'late' answer, but glad you didn't wait on my response, Heidi. Regular 'stamping' is not required for my challenge. Your fingerprint 'stamping' is sufficient to enter my challenge.

For my FP (coming soon), I mostly used the technique to create 'BGs'--rather than using the FPs to create images like the wonderful kitty, caterpillar & ladybugs.

Sadie's tree is fun! She 'shaped' her tree freeform & it works, too.

Looking forward to seeing what else shows up for my challenge!

Here's my piece. I combo'd it with Nerd's 'Color Challenge. Fun! :D

Here's my journal page:

plant and bird

I had the most fun with this Daniel--first I did use a plastic baggy over my finger and I really liked the different shapes it made---but it was unreliable so decided after the base layer for the plant that I'd just use my pinky.

My first attempt at your challenge really did not end well....so I had to start over and I am so glad I did b/c I like this result but I also got to learn from the first.  (I thought using ink spray over a clear embossed CS would be fine, but for some reason the spray leached into the embossed area--probably from underneath).

Thank you for a fun challenge Daniel and helping me get out of my comfort zone!   O0  :D

WTG, Melissa! Funny thing about 'comfort zones'... They start out being safe & cozy, but can end up being a bit too close for comfort. A bit of outside the zone every now & then enlarges our comfort.

Along with our cousins--the monkeys & apes--our ability to use our fingers as actual tools remains a great part of our creative stash.

Speaking of watercoloring... You can get interesting effects by wetting the paper & applying inks on fingertips. They will diffuse--even blend if more than one color is used. Then when that is dry, you can apply more inky-tips to create more 'defined' designs. ;)

Well I will have to say I didn't know if I could figure out what to do with this challenge and I sat down and this came to mind :

Great job, Connie!

BTW... Now that so many of you have been 'tipped off' to this technique, you might want to make some easter eggs, jellybeans, fuzzy chicks & bunnies using this method. Easter's on its way! ;)

I made another one.  I stamped butterflies, flowers and dots to create a background.  I also figured I share a picture of the background before I finished the card and of my fingers after I finished stamping.
