Yes, I did get some speckles. On watercolor paper and plain paper.
I used both the technique showed in the video where he drags the paper through the floating ink, and Jan's technique where she laid the paper on top and pushed it in to the water. I loved how after using Jan's technique sometimes there would be a bubble on the underside of the paper (the side in direct contact with the floating AI). When the bubble would pop, there would be white space! Very fun!
Here are my backgrounds. I used watercolor paper, plain embossed paper, home printed tags and store bought printed tags.
I used some of the paper on the
cover of a Traveler's Notebook insert.
I'm attaching some of the inside spreads to show you how I used some of the tags. While I didn't use much stamping (I did stamp part of my name on the back of the cover, not shown) or make a card ... I did have fun using my alcohol floated pieces.
Question : Did anyone else have ink rubbing off long after your backgrounds were dry? Is it just the humidity in Florida?
Where some of the brightest spots are, I get a little ink transfer if I rub it. That is one reason I put the two turquoise tags directly across from each other ... if ink rubs off it won't show on the opposite tag.
Thanks for hosting the challenge this month, April!
