Yes, I do stand at the kitchen counter to stamp.  Usually it is when I am going to heat emboss since I usually do that on my stovetop (it is a glass top electric stove).

Do you have a stamped card or other project that you meant to give away but you are too attached to it?

Yes, I still have several pieces of my work. Generally I don't make pieces until I know who I will give it to.  And I often display my favorite cards that I really like in my work area along with ones I have received.  And from time to time I decide to keep one.


NEXT question:
Is there a technique or product that you choose not to use because it is "messier" than you perfer?

I don't like working with acrylic paint much - although I did here at INKtoberfest.    I seldom use it because it is messy and it doesn't work well with me.

Do you have a pet that likes to be with you while you are crafting?

Yes, my 13 year old American Eskimo dog often lays at my side when she is inside.

I'm all over the place.  I don't think I can pick a fave.

Yes, I think my favorite is marker thumping.  Techniques like those are why i still like rubber stamps better than clear even though i have both.

Do you sometimes need to send a store bought card?

Go Fish! Can't bring myself to do that. Plus I usually have a good supply of cards I have made to choose from.

And I think that makes 3 of us who didn't realize Jan has a dog.

I have always sent lots of note cards.  Sometimes I use commercial cards when I only know the person through professional associations.


Next Question:  Do you make any papercrafted items beyond cards?

Yep.  I've made calendars and post-it note holders and I've started a couple of scrapbooks.

Have you ever made such a mess of your craft space that you could not continue crafting unless you did some clean-up first?

I'll admit, I'm at that point right now.

Oh yes, many times! I get frustrated and can't go on unless I clean up and start fresh!

I do enjoy following card sketches most of the time.  Sometimes I feel like I need to make changes in them, though.

Have you ever used canvas on a card?

Go fish.  I've done canvases but I haven't used canvas on a card.
