Title: WF16 Stamp your Ground WINNER ANNOUNCED!!
Post by: lovepug2 on January 22, 2016, 12:22:40 AM
For my challenge, show your little stamps some love! You will need to create a background piece using a small image. Or you may use several small ones to create your background. The image needs to be 2 1/2 inches or smaller. You can create your background by using just ink pads, embossing, watercoloring, coloring, whatever technique you like! You can also use a larger image in an addition to the background you created as well as any other embellishments you would like. This challenge is just for cards.
You may combine this with any other challenge. A RAK will be chosen randomly at the end of winterfest.
Please use keyword WF16SG and share your creations here.

Here's my sample

I really Ike the stamp you used in your sample.  That background could stand its ground alone.  I think that will be my challenge finding one small stamp that would look nice standing on its own.  Thanks for hosting.

Well here we go, my first challenge is now done.  I used a tiny heart stamp for the background and used your example to emboss it in red embossing powder.

 Thank you for looking. (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2332#top_display_media)

I guess the heat guns were running today!
I embossed a little heart on watercolor paper with white EP.  You can see it here. (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=2336#top_display_media)

Thanks for the challenge LeighAnn!  I used the background I made for your challenge to make another sample for my Surprise Your Valentine challenge.

I used my background on a card combining Material Girl, Stand Your Ground and Impress Me.

Here is my entry for your challenge.  This was super fun!

I did combo this with a Simon Says Stamp - Critter challenge.

What I liked best about this challenge is that the stamp set I used is a tiny 2x3 one, but I felt I still had a lot of options on how to use these stamps.  Thanks for the great challenge!

I used a stencil and stipple brush and peeled paint distress ink.
Then I stamped little butterfly's on it, then painted them in with same ink.

I'm so late to getting the winner posted, its been a busy few days plus I ended up needing a few stitches in my finger fiasco with my trimmer so it's a bit awkard typing! But enough about all that, I put everyone's name in a hat and had my little helper pick one out. And he chose.....

HowdyHeidi!!!!

Congrats, Heidi! I will get your RAK in the mail tomorrow, I have your address unless it's changed.

Thank you all for playing along and putting those little stamps to work! I got lots of good inspiration and I hope you did too O0

Oh wow, thanks LeighAnn!  Thank your little helper for me!

I am so terribly sorry that your finger was hurt so badly! I hope it doesn't take too long to heal!

Let's hope it doesn't keep you from creating LeighAnn, sorry you had to get stitches.

Congrats Heidi

Yikes LeighAnn!  Hope your finger heals quickly.  I have a love/hate relationship with my wired trimmer.  I've had two or three frayed wires.  Mostly I don't like it, but I haven't found one I like better.  I think I'll look for the new one someone mentioned.

Congratulations Heidi!
