Hi guys #> here's the details for this months swap-
Requirement is to stamp on text! This can be from an old book, a stamp, newspaper or even your own handwriting if you'd like.
The other requirement is to use the color orange somewhere on your ATC.
Sign ups are now through Saturday and I will post partners on Sunday.
Mail by date will be the 19th.

I wrote this up yesterday while I was cooking dinner and got an error message. I got sidetracked last night and forgot to go back and fix it.

Mine is laying here all taped up in it's envelope ready for me to trot on down to the post office and get some postage so it goes straight to Far North instead of coming back for more stamps.......Have I ever talked about my dislike of my post office? They gleefully send back my homemade cards for more postage on a fairly regular basis......

I put some extra postage on mine today because it was a little lumpy. It's on it's way to LeighAnn!
Looking forward to receiving Jan's. The deadline kind of snuck up on me this month, but I had fun with the requirements.

I used orange craft foam as the base. Good thing I did the paper burnie thing in the sink cuz my first try went up in smoke! lol

I've had issues before with postage. It's aggravating! I don't remember if it was someone here or someone at the post office that suggested using postcard stamps with your regular stamps for bulky cards. I've done that In the past and haven't had issues. Plus it's cheaper than putting to regular stamps on it.

I might be the one who spoke about post card stamps. I used to just add two stamps to anything that was remotely bulky, but that was getting expensive so that is when I got the post card stamps. I have not had anything sent back ever.
However, a relative had to send DS's book back to use recently, and they put it in a regular envelope with only 3 stamps on it, and it did arrive without asking for more postage. However, it took them 2-3 weeks to deliver it (usually takes 2 days). That really should have been $2.30 at least for package postage, so YMMV.
Sending ATC's is costing me far less than sending tags was.

Ok I have to admit I didn't follow instructions. I understood when I signed up, but by the time I went to do it I was mixed up. That saying is why I haven't posted it.
But I own up to it and I will post it, I didn't use book pages, I stamped text and stamped again my pumpkin.
I took picture before I added the word sorry. The big pumpkin is sorry that the weather hadn't been cold enough to get ripe and orange. ( I have seen years like that). Anyway that was my excuse because here wasn't enough orange in my alcohol ink background.

Heidi, you are absolutely right. I stamped my text too because I couldn't find a book I wanted to mess up!
I thought what Sarah did was smart to scan the page. That never crossed my mind!
I have loved seeing everyone's ATCs! They are all fantastic!

Hooray! A happy mail day! I absolutely love the ATC that came from Jan and the awesome way she presented it (in a clear sleeve on the front of a card, matted to a marble rolled background)! Really! Just awesome!
The ATC is wonderful. Glossy accents on the indian corn make it pop off the page. Embossed berries and white pencil accents are perfect highlights. Thank you so much Jan! You made my day!

Oh, my. I saw Jan's ATC in the gallery, and I thought I'd forgotten to make an ATC this month to swap. Instant Panic. I hurried to this thread to see if I had signed up. Sigh of relief. I was in Seattle with my friend when the original post was posted. I didn't have WiFi for the first five days I was there so I did not sign up this time. Bummer since the ATC's all look great!

I got happy mail today....a very pretty pumpkin ATC from Lovepug2. Is the galacy gold ink in a bottle or is it a crème that you rub on with your fingers.....I had to look and make sure the pretty sparkly wasn't originally on the cardstock, I hope it shows up in the picture. But it really isn't on the back, only the front and gives it a "glow" for lack of a better word. Thank you very much, this is such a wonderful fall ATC to add to the ATC collection.

Sadie, I'm so glad you like it. I will get it uploaded. The galaxy good is a pigment ink pad. It's one of those little dew drop ones and I just used it to ink up the edges. Being the clutz that I am, I messed up the inking a bit so I just rubbed it with a paper towel on the front. I really want to try some sort of inkagold product or something like that!
I got some much needed happy mail today, my ATC from Cindi arrived! It is so pretty! Thank for writing the note explaining how you did the text! That's such a great idea and one I want to try out! Thanks for the extra ATC pockets too :smitten:
