Use Alcohol inks for the background, if you don't have them you could use watercolor.

This is a great idea!  Her backgrounds are amazing.  Can’t wait to try this! I need to dig out my alcohol inks!  I think I bought some of the shimmer ones and haven’t used them at all. They might still be in the package. Lol.

Pretty backgrounds! I just bought 3 colors of alcohol inks from Tuesday Morning this morning by Brea Reese. I have never seen these. I want to see how these work!

I just made several alcohol ink backgrounds for this. I was wondering if you wanted us to use an image die for the cards or if a shape die (like her second example with the rectangle peek a boo die, would also be acceptable?

Sure you can use either one you want, I was going for the image look but the shaped ones would be ok too

I don’t have many image dies but then I did find one that would work so I hope to finish up two cards today.  I have lots of fun backgrounds though!

This might be something the rest of you already know, but I don’t wear gloves when working with alcohol inks, so I tend to get pretty messy.  Well, yesterday I decided to clean my hands with hand sanitizer and then wash them with soap, and it got almost everything off!  I was pleased!

Alcohol also does a great job. I just spray some right out of the bottle of alcohol I am using and clean up evertything including my hands.

April, I don’t know why I never thought of it before!

Here are my cards.  The funny thing is that most of the backgrounds I made yesterday were on Yupo, but the one background I chose for this was the glossy cardstock.

I used typo on this one and some gold, but doesn’t show in photo.

Added some gold butterfly stickers on one and some  sequences on the other.

I struggled a little with the alcohol ink backgrounds even though I listened to the video advice of "know when to quit"!  Maybe it was just too late at night?!

Today the struggle was geometry.  For some reason I have a lot of triangle scraps from trying to cut the white triangle section just right!  Finally figured it out.  Messed up the stamping on the Lucky card and had to stamp on another triangle and adhere over the top!  No one will ever know, right?

Connie, the Fest runs through tomorrow, just in case you think we're out of time.  I think I did see the date as 4/9 at one point, but now it's the 10th.  I have another twofer I hope to post tonight.  Just need to add some gems or something.
