Melissa, your mermaid card is so cute! I love how you did it.

DS and I were watercolor painting and I made a fast card with the kit that Heidi sent-

It was fun and easy to do.

I have another card to post but when I uploaded it, the pic looks as if it were stretched? Gonna try it again in a bit.

Please share what your (required) projects are 'celebrating'--either in your upload comments on on the thread

Oops - I forgot.  My project celebrates my puppies.

Melissa - thanks for the detailed explanation of your project and for sharing your trials and travails with solvent inks.  That mermaid project is so cute.

LeighAnn - What a great quick card.

Thanks everyone!  I was afraid that I had "talked" to much with the instructions.     I did better with this set of details for my Received Kit:

Got to go post one more photo for this project….

Here is my project from my kit from CG (anyone heard from her lately?)

I used Stampwilly's Stamped Watercolor background technique for this card.

I am sooo Loving every new project! Without false modesty, we are a crafty bunch across the board!

Heidi. I chatted with April yesterday. She hurt her back somehow & is still healing from the surgery. Hope she gets back on the board soon.

Melissa! As I said in a comment on your angel--I bow to a crafter crazier than I (me?)! The way you used (& shared) the hneycomb ribbon is totally awesome. I'll have more to say, but first I want to link my piece from the received kit. It came from CraftNerd (Sarah). When I read the included 'OZ' sentiment, I knew exactly where I wanted to go! And I had already gotten a good start on Willy's Oldies (vellum) Challenge. They went together so well!

My project celebrates STRANGE!  And my post will continue that celebration...

Dorothy skipped lightly up the steps to the Wizard's palace.  :smitten: She told her friends to wait outside. She had a piece of unfinished business to attend to. :knuppel2: Alas. Dot made one mistake. She forgot that, in OZ, animals can talk.

Toto turned state's evidence & justice was served.  ;D

I think we all need to bow to Melissa's creativity.  Wow. The background you created is amazing.

Heidi - your card is super cute and the background you created with Stampwilly's technique is fabulous.

Daniel - I figured you would like Dorothy and that sentiment. I actually bought the sentiment because it was too funny and then picked up Dorothy because I need something to go with it.   :D  And I love what you did with her and her friends.  :laughhard:

I just wanted to check in and and let you guys know how I'm progressing. I colored one of the images Melissa sent me, and I think I have a card layout in mind, so just need to put it all together. And as for my kept kit project.... I haven't even started on it! Ha! So we will see how that goes...

Enjoying all the gallery projects, and I left lots of praise!

Hi Michele! Glad you got a chance to play. LOL on the 'kept'.

I'm not sure I'll be doing much more from either of my envelopes this month, but that's ok. I have good stuff for plenty of projects. And long as we all do the required 2 projects, it's fine if we don't over-burden ourselves.

Haven't heard from CG & phone calls go directly to voice mail. A bit concerned, but hoping for the best.

Looking forward to hearing from our fellow swappers.

Hope you hear from CG soon, Daniel.

I think I caught up on all of the gallery projects today. Some fabulous stuff in there you guys! Really inspiring, thanks for sharing all the projects.

I finally got to finish my projects yesterday and today, and even took some pics.

Here's my kept kit project: Butterfly
And my received kit project: Mermaid

Here is my card from my received kit from neyw. Christmas Card.

I am also going to make a treat bag with another image she sent me. It is just too cute.

Haven't gotten my kept kit project done but should be working on that soon. ;-)

Happy Monday Fellow Swappers!

Neat additions to our gallery & we still have 2 weeks of August to make & share kit projects.

Got a call from April (CG). Her mom is hospitalized with pneumonia & sepsis. And April is still having some issues of her own. Bummer.

Looking forward to hearing (posts) from all of us this week. #> Hugs to all!

My kept kit project is currently sitting on my craft desk in pieces.  I know how all the pieces are going to go together, I just have to sit down and assemble it.

Poor April.  I'm glad you heard from her, Daniel.  I hope she and her mom are better soon.

I need to go check out the new posted projects.
