September KIAE Swap/Challenge-Bringing in the Harvest
« on: August 26, 2014, 02:38:32 PM »
Looks like my cohost (& pal) April will not be able to host our Sept. fun-for-all.  :'( Here's hoping she'll be back with us when she's able, but that means I'm your host for Sept.  :knuppel2:

Let's start with deadlines... Sept. 30 is the deadline for uploading projects to the Sept. KIAE Album

Envelope size: Whatever you put in your kit must be in a regular envelope. 4x9 or 5x7--one envelope per kit. No special envelopes (padded, etc.

Kit contents: You must include a minimum of 3 stamped images in your kit and each image must be stamped at least twice. You must make 2 identical kits. One to keep & one to send. Otherwise you are free to put anything you wish in your envvelopes.

Project requirements: You will make & share a minmum of 2 projects--one from your kept kit & one from your received kit. The 'required' projects must employ at least 3 items from the kit. Additional projects are permitted & need not employ the 3 items or be subject to the 'theme'.

Theme: The required projects' theme is 'Harvest'. Up to you to interpret the theme & you're free to build your kit using the theme.

Mailing addresses: If you don't have a mailing address for your swapmate, contact them via PM.

If I've neglected any vital info please let me know. All updates & such will be provided in this OP.

Update Since our theme is Harvest and lots of us have been posting on recipes' threads, I propose that we each make one of our required projects to include a recipe as a part of it. Zucchini bread, anyone? ;D

Swapmates:

Looser > LeighAnn
LeighAnn > SWLady
SWLady > Sadie
Sadie > Neysa
Neysa > Craftnerd
Craftnerd > Heidi
Heidi > Looser

Most of us already have mailing addresses for one-another. If you need an address for someone, PM them, please.

Yay for KIAE!  Boo that CG won't be able to join us.  :(

I am in.  I like the Harvest theme.  As soon as Labor Day comes and goes, I am all ready for Fall things.

Thanks for hosting, Looser.

Thanx for catching my goof, Sarah. I fixed the sign up date.

Fall is my favorite season & 'Harvest' just seems like a good theme.

Nice to see all of the sign ups. Now's a good time to start gathering (harvesting) what you'll put in your kit. And it's just fine to add a few things that might not immediately make you think of Fall or Harvest. Gotta keep us on our toes, eh? ;D

Although we have a theme, I did not put in any other curve balls. So let me ask y'all, "Would you like a curve ball for at least one of the required projects"?

Hmm, a curve ball from Daniel.   :-\  That could be either a lot of fun or really scary. ;)   I'll be brave and say sure to a curve ball.

Ooh, sign me up please!

Thank you for hosting Daniel. I'm so sorry to hear that Apri is still recovering and her mother isn't doing well.
I hope she will be back with us soon. Good thoughts and prayers are headed her way.

Terrific! With SWLady & Pug we currently have 7 swappers!

I have a 'fun' project curve ball in mind. I'll update the OP.

LOL, Neysa. Tell 'Dave' that Daniel says "hello". ;)

Glad y'all seem to like the recipe 'curve'. I have a few ideas for how I might deal with the requirement--preprinted recipe cards or ones cut from food packaging (boxes & cans) is looking very attractive at this time. And... 'recipes' needn't necessarily be food-related.  ::) ;D

Question?  Do I need to include a recipe in my sent envelope?  I have no idea how that is supposed to work.  Are the things I send then supposed to be harvest-cooking based?  Questions questions questions!  LOL
